The Honda Winner X 2024 moped model has just been introduced with a new version called Repsol Edition in Malaysia alongside the 3 existing color options: Lemon Ice Yellow, Candy Caribbean Blue Sea, and Trico Edition. The suggested price for the new Honda Winner X Repsol Edition is 9,998 Ringgit, equivalent to 51.5 million Vietnamese Dong. The bike is produced in limited quantities of 5,000 units.
The main difference of the Repsol Edition is the bike decal inspired by the famous Repsol Honda Team racing team, with a sporty white, red, and orange color scheme. Additionally, the 6-spoke Y-shaped wheels are highlighted in orange.
In the Malaysian market, the Winner X is called Honda RS-X and has a similar appearance to the first generation Winner X sold in Vietnam. The main distinguishing feature is the separate turn signals on both sides of the bike and the unchanged exhaust pipe design. For bikes sold in Malaysia, the rear mudguard has an additional two round reflective patches as required by the country’s regulations.
The Japanese carmaker announced that Honda RS-X is equipped with a DOHC engine, a single-cylinder with a displacement of 149.2cc, with a maximum output of 15.8 horsepower (11.8 kW) at 9,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 13.6 Nm at 7,000 rpm. The bike still has a 6-speed manual transmission. These specifications are slightly higher than the Honda Winner X currently sold in Vietnam (11.5 kW and 13.5 Nm).
This Honda moped still has an electronic instrument panel, full LED lights, and front wheel ABS brakes. However, the Honda RS-X is not yet equipped with smart lock as in the Vietnamese market.
The last time Honda Vietnam added a new version to the Winner X was nearly a year ago in November 2022 with the Sport version. Currently, the domestic Honda Winner X 2023 has 3 variants with a suggested price ranging from 46.16 to 50.56 million dong, competing with the Yamaha Exciter 155 VVA (48 to 55 million dong) in the 150cc moped segment.
