This is a new 4-seater pick-up truck model introduced by Sino Vehicle Hub (SVH) from China, with a “twin” appearance to the Toyota Tundra.
The attractive design and luxurious interior of the “dinosaur” Toyota Tundra (Japan) has attracted the attention of SHV (China). Immediately after that, the company immediately launched the SHV Tundar pickup truck, not only imitating the original appearance but also copying the name “Tundra”.
Automotive enthusiasts began to have discussions and comparisons between the two models from Japan and China.
The front of the SHV Tundar and its wheel arches are designed to be square, combined with a large-sized grille and a cluster of 6-sided headlights like the Japanese car brand. Under the hood is a combination from the Suzuki F10A engine of the second-generation Samurai model, with a 1.0-liter displacement. The power is transmitted to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission, but its top speed is limited to 99 km/h. The Tundra lettering on the side of the truck bed is considered a violation of SHV’s blatant copyright.
The interior of the SHV Tundar is “inspired” by Mercedes-Benz with equipped air conditioning vents, a 3-spoke steering wheel without any function buttons, and an extended screen on the dashboard. Some standard features on the Tundar include air conditioning and a rearview camera.
This vehicle can be considered a combination of designs from various different car brands, however, it is generally considered coarser and less sophisticated than the original Toyota Tundra. The price can be seen as the only advantage of the car, as you only need to spend $6,000 to own a Chinese version of the Toyota Tundra.
