With the goal of promoting community awareness of climate change and environmental pollution, as well as promoting the image of Vietnam and its people to countries in Southeast Asia and internationally, Toyota Vietnam is accompanying and implementing activities within the framework of the Green SEA Games program, launched by the Resources and Environment Communication Center, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment in coordination with the General Department of Sports and Physical Training.

This is the first pioneering Green SEA Games in Vietnam with meaningful and practical activities contributing to spreading environmental protection messages, encouraging people and communities to change their awareness, thinking, and actions to minimize the plastic impact on our planet, contributing to climate change adaptation and mitigation in the region and globally, ensuring sustainable development. Within the framework of the SEA Games 31 program, Toyota Vietnam has implemented the following activities to contribute to a green, clean, beautiful, and environmentally friendly Games:

Organizing Roadshow in Hanoi with Toyota Hybrid vehicles that are fuel-efficient and emit 1.5 to 2 times less CO2 emissions than conventional vehicles.

Participating in the Recycling-for-Gifts program to raise awareness of the importance of recycling for environmental protection with the slogan “Collect plastic, receive gifts” at the competition venues in Hanoi.

Sponsoring uniforms for volunteers participating in garbage collection at the competition venues in Hanoi.

In addition to accompanying the Resources and Environment Communication Center, Ministry of Natural Resources & Environment in the Green SEA Games program, Toyota Vietnam and its nationwide Toyota dealer network regularly carry out environmental protection activities such as planting trees at schools within the framework of the “Toyota joins hands in greening schools” program; building playgrounds for children from recycled tires in the “Second Journey of Tires” program; implementing tree planting programs in response to the 1 billion trees campaign – For a Green Vietnam in the period 2021-2025 launched by the Prime Minister; Participating in environmental holidays through tree planting activities on World Environment Day, organizing roadshows to respond to Earth Hour 2021 campaign… This demonstrates Toyota’s strong commitment to protecting the environment together with the community in Vietnam, aiming to bring a more beautiful environment for today and for future generations.

In its 27 years in Vietnam, alongside efforts to provide quality products and services to customers, Toyota Vietnam always aims to become a “Green Enterprise” through comprehensive environmental solutions: Efforts to realize the dream of owning green vehicles for Vietnamese people by pioneering the introduction of Hybrid vehicles with advanced and environmentally friendly technology; Seriously implementing a closed-loop system throughout the entire system from factory, suppliers to dealers to minimize negative impacts on the environment including soil, water, and air; Reducing CO2 emissions along with many meaningful environmental protection activities for the community and society with the desire to continue contributing to improving the environment in Vietnam, improving the quality of life for people, and raising the awareness of the younger generation and the community in protecting the living environment.
