Starting with a new transmission option, the Hybrid 130 version combines a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine with a more powerful electric engine, resulting in a total output of 130 horsepower and 185 Nm of torque. The increase in power helps improve acceleration from 0-100 km/h in just 10.7 seconds (0.4 seconds faster).
Meanwhile, the less powerful Hybrid 115 version is still available with 114 horsepower and 141 Nm of torque. Toyota claims that hybrid self-charging technology is the “number one deciding factor” for Yaris Cross buyers, which is why the company does not offer solely petrol-powered versions for the B-SUV model in Europe.
In terms of exterior, the 2024 Toyota Yaris Cross retains the design of its predecessor but adds a new Juniper Blue color option to the exterior color palette. The premium Premiere Edition stands out with an exclusive Urban Khaki color, complemented by matching interior accents and new 18-inch alloy wheels. Both the Premiere Edition and GR Sport versions are equipped with the new more powerful hybrid option.
Inside the cabin, the car receives notable technology upgrades. Depending on the version, users can get a 7-inch or 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, paired with a 9-inch or 10.4-inch infotainment touchscreen. The Toyota Smart Connect multimedia system has been improved, now supporting over-the-air updates and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.
Moving to the inside, the Yaris Cross receives notable upgrades in terms of technology. Lastly, but certainly not least, the Toyota T-Mate safety system is standard on all Yaris Cross models and has been upgraded with new and enhanced features. Specifically, this safety system has been upgraded with new, longer-range and wider-range cameras and radar.
Additional enhancements to the ADAS system include Forward Collision Warning, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Safe Exit Assist, and Rear Seat Reminder while the Smooth and Responsive Adaptive Cruise Control system has been enhanced.
The pricing for the 2024 Toyota Yaris Cross in Europe has not been announced yet.
