Yamaha e-Vino is an electric scooter that was first introduced in 2015 in the Japanese market. Recently, Yamaha has released an upgraded version of this model in the domestic market.
Similar to the previous version, this electric scooter continues to be developed based on the Yamaha Vino scooter. This is also the fourth electric scooter developed based on the Yamaha Vino.
Compared to the previous version, the Yamaha e-Vino 2023 still retains its exterior design. Yamaha has only added 2 new paint colors for the scooter, including white – green and white – blue. In addition, the brake lever and the rear handlebars are painted black instead of chrome-plated.
The most notable highlight of the Yamaha e-Vino 2023 is the battery pack. The scooter is equipped with a new lithium-ion battery pack with a capacity of 12.2 Ah, which is 1.2 times larger than the previous version. Thanks to that, this electric scooter can travel up to 32 km on a full charge, an increase of 3 km. This battery pack is combined with a DC electric motor with a maximum power of only 1.4 horsepower and a maximum torque of 7.8 Nm.
The charging time of the Yamaha e-Vino 2023 battery is currently unknown. In the previous version, the charging time using a 100V home power source is about 3 hours.
Other design details of the Yamaha e-Vino 2023 remain unchanged. The scooter is still equipped with round headlights and turn signals, as well as the “e” logo on the front apron. In addition, the Yamaha e-Vino 2023 uses a Halogen lighting system from front to back, a 3-spoke cast wheel painted white, drum brakes on both wheels, an LCD instrument cluster, a spacious footboard, and a 10-liter storage compartment under the seat. Users can also store a spare battery pack in the scooter’s storage compartment.
The Yamaha e-Vino 2023 has 2 riding modes: Standard and Power. In addition, it features Boost mode, which is used when the rider needs to climb hills.
Aimed at female customers, this electric scooter has a compact size, including a length of 1,675 mm, a width of 660 mm, a height of 1,005 mm, a wheelbase of 1,160 mm, and a seat height of 715 mm. Despite being an electric scooter, the Yamaha e-Vino 2023 has a weight of only 68 kg, significantly lighter than typical gas-powered scooters. According to Yamaha, the e-Vino provides a comfortable riding position for the rider, similar to the regular Vino scooter.
In the Japanese market, the Yamaha e-Vino 2023 has a starting price of 314,600 yen (about 52.5 million VND). The scooter will be available for sale from September 30th.
