After about 8 months since its global debut, recently, the 2024 Ferrari Roma Spider convertible supercar has officially arrived in Southeast Asia.
Accordingly, the after-tax price of the car is about more than 1.2 billion USD (about 30 thousand billion VND).
Similar to the Coupe version, under the hood of the 2024 Ferrari Roma Spider is still a twin-turbo V8 engine with a capacity of 3.8 liters. This engine generates a maximum power of 612 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and 760 Nm of maximum torque.
The power is transmitted to the rear wheels through an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, helping the car’s acceleration from 0-100 km/h reduced to 3.4 seconds due to the additional weight of 83.9 kg from the convertible mechanism and electric motor.
Although it is a convertible version, the Italian carmaker did not equip the Roma Spider with a folding hardtop like its “big brother” SF90 Spider. Instead, Ferrari has used a fabric soft top to optimize the car’s weight. The 5-layer fabric soft top of the 2024 Roma Spider can be opened/closed in 13.5 seconds at speeds below 60 km/h.
Additionally, if the rear passenger wants to lower the roof, they just need to press a special wind control button integrated on the backrest of the seats.
While Ferrari’s super sports car models are tending to modernize their design, the Ferrari Roma Spider goes against the trend. The car applies a design language that is reminiscent of classic cars, with soft, flowing curves.
The Ferrari Roma Spider is equipped with 20-inch wheels paired with 245/35ZR20 front tires and 285/35ZR20 rear tires. The front brakes have a diameter of 390 mm and the rear brakes have a diameter of 360 mm.
In terms of interior, the cabin of the Roma Spider does not have many changes compared to the Coupe version. The steering wheel still uses touch buttons, but the Italian carmaker has refreshed it with a red Start/Stop button to make it easier for drivers to recognize.
The center console is designed to slope backwards, giving users the feeling of sitting on a futuristic spaceship. In addition, customers can add an optional neck warmer feature with 18-way power-adjustable sports seats.
The car still has a range of utility features such as a 16-inch digital instrument cluster, an 8.4-inch vertical center screen. Additionally, there is an optional 8.8-inch passenger screen that will display familiar information such as operating parameters, navigation… as well as allow adjustment of air conditioning and entertainment features.
In Vietnam, there are currently about 5 Ferrari Roma cars, including 2 imported by private individuals and the rest brought in by the official distributor. The post-tax selling price of this model is currently ranging from 21 to 23 billion VND.
