With a very affordable price range of 599 – 799 million VND, the 2022 Hyundai Elantra completely new version is predicted to be a highly attractive name in the compact sedan segment thanks to its full equipment, eye-catching design, and emotional driving experience.
The 2022 Hyundai Elantra was officially unveiled in Hanoi on October 14th, 2022, with an impressive debut that carries the imprint of high-speed racing. And indeed, the C-segment sedan from the Korean brand also carries a sporty mark in this completely new version.
The overall dimensions of the car have changed both in length and width, creating more space and increased comfort for passengers. Specifically, the technical specifications DxRxC of the Elantra are: 4.675 x 1.825 x 1.430 mm. The wheelbase measures 2.720 mm, while the ground clearance is at 150mm – increasing the ability to operate flatly and firmly in a sporty manner.
Abandoning the elegant, modern design of the previous version, the new 2022 Hyundai Elantra has been transformed with a distinctive appearance. The sporty atmosphere is expressed extremely strongly right from the front of the car.
The large front grille with a bold design flows around the front of the car and connects with the main lighting system. The grille graphics are also divided into overlapping triangles, reminiscent of sibling models such as Tucson or Creta…
The two faux air intakes combined with the angular front bumper in a dark tone give the feeling of fighter planes – a design element similar to supercars from Italy.
Paired with the “burning” front end is a hood highlighted by sharp lines, adding a very sporty touch to the car. In addition, the new Elantra is equipped with 18-inch wheels with a very sporty design as well.
The body is divided into many sharp lines, creating a sense of extended sports angles from front to rear. Along the sides, the Elantra 2022 N-line sport version is added with carbon-patterned side moldings. The rear of the car is sloped with large C-pillars, giving a feeling similar to sports coupes.
If the front of the Hyundai Elantra is already sporty, then the appearance of the rear of the car is equally “fiery”! The rear trunk lid is squeezed with a bold “waistline”, giving a very rugged and muscular feel, and is also decorated with a running red LED strip.
In the middle of this “waistline”, the trunk opening button is designed as a small and charming hexagonal shape, giving a faint suggestion of the characteristic supercars of the Italian bull brand. On both sides, the taillights are designed with sharp angles, exuding the modern appearance of German luxury – sports models.
Below, the Hyundai Elantra 2022 N-Line is equipped with a synchronized sporty air splitter with the front bumper and side moldings. The car is designed with dual exhausts placed asymmetrically to the right and an inverted triangle-shaped emergency brake light below, which is very eye-catching.
When stepping into the interior of the car, the Hyundai Elantra 2022 immediately exudes a modern and sporty look with intricately designed leather seats that envelop the back and hips, equipped with power adjustment, heating, and cooling functions. The driver and front passenger are separated by a high ridge – a feature often seen in sports cars, racing cars, or supercars.
In the middle of the driver is a 4-spoke round steering wheel but with a very sporty style, quite similar to Audi’s models. Meanwhile, the sporty N-Line version is equipped with a three-spoke steering wheel with eye-catching red stitching.
Behind the steering wheel is a meter display screen with a lot of display modes and intuitive operation information. It is accompanied by a horizontal infotainment touch screen that integrates Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Both screens on the new Elantra have a size of 10.25 inches.
The central control cluster in the Hyundai Elantra is also a very neat and beautiful design area. The physical control knob for the dual-zone automatic air conditioning function is still easy to operate. Below is a wireless charging pad and a water tray that can switch between two convenient shallow-to-deep modes.
The gear lever on the sporty N-Line version is designed compact and ergonomic; while the lower versions have a slightly larger size with a yacht-like aircraft-style design. Next to the gear lever are the physical controls for the drive mode selector, surround view camera, electronic parking brake – with automatic hold function.
In the rear seats, the Hyundai Elantra 2022 is also equipped with a charging port and air conditioning vents. The middle backrest integrates cup holders and a foldable armrest. The interior space is quite spacious because the C-segment sedan has increased its overall size as well as the length of the wheelbase.
For powertrain configurations, Thanh Cong Distributor has brought four versions of the 2022 Hyundai Elantra with three engine options: 1.6 Turbo N-Line, the highest-end; the 2.0L and 1.6L naturally aspirated engines. All three engine options have been upgraded to the new SmartStream generation, with an increased output power of 4% and a 12% reduction in emissions.
For the sporty N-Line version, the Korean manufacturer also equips the car with a multi-link rear suspension. Meanwhile, the other versions of the Elantra 2022 are only equipped with a torsion beam rear suspension with a stabilizer bar. The sporty version also has a larger size brake disc.
