On December 6, 2023, Hyundai officially introduced the upgraded version of the Tucson SUV in the Korean market. This model comes in a total of 12 versions with prices ranging from 27.71 – 39.38 million Won (approximately 510 – 724 million VND).
As an intermediate version in its lifecycle, the 2024 Hyundai Tucson has only slight changes in terms of exterior design. These changes are mainly focused on the front of the vehicle. Here, the compact SUV is equipped with a Parametric Hidden Light grille with large hidden position lights, similar to the previous version. However, the design of the LED position lights and the grille has been adjusted.
In addition, the new model has a new front and rear bumper, which gives it a more muscular look compared to the previous version. The rear bumper lights have been integrated more seamlessly.
In contrast to the front end, the side area of the Hyundai Tucson 2024 remains almost unchanged, except for the new dual-tone 5-spoke alloy wheels. These wheels have a sportier design with a two-tone finish.
The N Line version will have its own unique features such as a distinctive grille, 19-inch alloy wheels, front and rear bumpers, underbody cladding, and dual exhaust outlets. The wheel arch trim and side moldings of the N Line will be painted in the body color instead of black.
Compared to the exterior, the interior of the compact SUV has been significantly upgraded. This can be seen in details such as the 3-spoke steering wheel with a design similar to the new Hyundai Kona. The gear lever has been moved from the center console to behind the steering wheel, a similar style to other new Hyundai models. The removal of the gear lever helps to tidy up the center console and create space for wireless phone charging and a cup holder.
The next highlight of the interior is the floating curved display on the dashboard. This display combines a digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch central touch screen. The vehicle’s infotainment screen supports wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity and software updates via Wi-Fi.
The new curved display also allows Hyundai to change the design of the air vents. The air vents now extend across the dashboard, making the interior appear more spacious. Below the air vents are the touch screen and 2 new rotary knobs for adjusting the air conditioning system and infotainment screen.
In addition, the vehicle also features a storage tray on the front dashboard, new interior ambient lighting, automatic toll payment technology, Digital Key 2, fingerprint scanner, head-up display, dashcam, memory seats/rearview mirrors, and power-operated tailgate.
According to Hyundai, the new Tucson’s interior has been enhanced with soundproofing materials to reduce noise. The front seats also come with new dual-layer soundproof glass.
Under the hood of this compact SUV are three engine options, just like before. The first is a standard 1.6L turbocharged gasoline engine, which produces a maximum power of 180 horsepower. The second option is a hybrid powertrain with a 1.6L turbocharged gasoline engine and an electric motor, providing a total output of 230 horsepower. Lastly, there’s a 2.0L 4-cylinder diesel engine, delivering a maximum power of 183 horsepower.
In addition, the vehicle also features an Auto Terrain Mode system for automatically selecting the appropriate driving mode in real time, Cross Wind Stability Control, and 8 airbags.
