On December 6, 2023, the new urban edition of the Exploration 06 model was officially launched by Chery, with a total of 2 new models priced at CNY 119,900 to CNY 129,900, equivalent to VND 394 million to VND 426 million.
In addition, the Chery Exploration 06 Yueye Edition Discovery+ was also launched this time, with the highest price reaching CNY 144,900, equivalent to VND 476 million.
If you find the appearance of this Chery Exploration 06 familiar, this is the international renamed version called Jaecoo 7, which has been publicly displayed in the Vietnamese market but has not been officially launched or sold. It is scheduled to be released in our country next year.
The main changes in the Exploration 06 Urban Edition are focused on the exterior, especially the front grille and the shape of the rear bumper have undergone major changes.
As for the Chery Exploration 06 Yueye Edition Discovery+, it is equipped with Yueye AT 17-inch tires for all terrains and integrates a 14.8-inch central control screen.
The appearance of the urban edition does not have many changes and still retains the original design lines. The biggest change in the front is that the manufacturer has adjusted the shape of the grille. The urban version of China Open looks less “digital” and more luxurious, and the English characters of Chery have also become smaller, making it look more elegant in its unique appearance. The overall shape still uses split headlights, which is probably the dominant design of current domestic SUVs, right?
There are not many changes on the side, still retaining the original design, hidden door handles, not much change in the shape of the wheels, only the color combination is slightly different. In the rear of the car, the rear bumper has become more urban, with two square cutouts in the same color as the bodywork. For other parts, the original continuous taillights design is still retained and the design inside the light cavity looks very technological.
Next are the changes inside the car, which are not many. The Chery Exploration 06 has few physical buttons, indicating that this car primarily focuses on a technological style, suitable for the style of vehicles that use new energy today. But having more physical buttons would be more convenient during operation.
In addition to the full LCD 10.25-inch instrument panel, there is also a large central control screen of 13.2 inches, and the interior configuration is also very rich, with the Xiaolong 8155 standard chip. In terms of configuration, the new car still provides high-resolution panoramic images of 540°, 50W wireless fast charging for mobile phones, SONY 8-speaker sound system, and the central control host also supports Apple CarPlay and Huawei HiCar systems.
In terms of power, the Chery Exploration 06 Urban Edition only has a two-wheel drive version, and the power system remains the 1.6T engine + 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission, which means the PHEV version has been removed. It has the advantage of fuel consumption of only 1 liter / 100 km. The maximum power of the engine is 197 horsepower and the peak torque is 290 Nm.
