The current generation Kia Carnival is considered one of the most beautiful MPV designs, so the new upgrade only tweaks the appearance slightly. However, the car has been significantly upgraded in terms of technology and added a hybrid version.

On November 7th, Kia officially announced the launch of the mid-life upgrade for the Carnival. The car has a starting price of 34.7 – 96.5 million won, equivalent to 645 million – 1.8 billion VND, and 3 interior options, including the 4-seater, 7-seater, and 9-seater versions.

In terms of design, the 2024 Kia Carnival impresses with its new vertical headlights, combined with a T-shaped LED daytime running light strip. This detail is reminiscent of some of Kia’s recent new models such as the EV9 or Seltos 2023. The front grille still has the characteristic tiger-nose shape, with horizontal or cat-eye pattern depending on the version.

The rear of the car stands out with its vertically mounted taillights, connected by a slender light strip that spans the width of the car’s rear. In addition to the taillights, the design of the rear bumper and tailgate has also been changed to look more harmonious.

Inside, the 2024 Carnival is equipped with a central entertainment screen and a digital dashboard of the same size, measuring 12.3 inches, connected seamlessly to each other to form a dual-screen cluster. In addition, the car also features information display on the windshield (HUD).

The new air conditioning control cluster is more neat and user-friendly. The gear area is also redesigned with a rotary knob gear lever. Some other notable features include a dashcam, smart key, and digital rearview mirror. The ergonomically designed seats are upholstered in premium leather, with integrated heating, cooling, and massage functions.

The limousine version of the 2024 Carnival has a higher roof than the standard version by 305 mm. This version also has an additional 21.5-inch entertainment screen for the rear seats, Wi-Fi capability, and a curtain system.

The Highway Driving Assistance 2 system, one of Kia’s most advanced driving assistance features, is equipped on the 2024 Carnival for the first time. This system provides automatic driving assistance by maintaining a safe distance with other vehicles, maintaining a preset speed, and keeping the lane. Compared to the first generation, the new generation has lane change assist function.

The 2024 Kia Carnival still has the same gasoline 3.5L and diesel 2.2L engine configurations as the previous model. In addition, the new version is also equipped with a hybrid powertrain system with a 1.6L turbocharged gasoline engine, with a total power of 245 horsepower and a torque of 367 Nm. According to Kia’s announcement, this engine has a fuel consumption rate of 14 km/l. Kia stated that this MPV model has been fine-tuned for the suspension system for a smoother driving experience on rough roads.

Customers in the Korean market can start ordering the 2024 Kia Carnival from November 8th. In Vietnam, this MPV model is officially distributed by Thaco, with 5 versions ranging in price from 1,269 to 1,869 billion VND.
