At the Guangzhou Auto Show 2023, Nissan officially unveiled the new SUV model named Pathfinder. This is a product designed and manufactured by the Dongfeng Nissan joint venture.

The Nissan Pathfinder 2024 belongs to the large SUV segment, with dimensions of 5,130 x 1,981 x 1,767 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,900 mm. With these dimensions, Nissan’s new model will compete with the Hyundai Palisade, Ford Explorer, and Kia Telluride.

Applying Nissan’s new design language, the Pathfinder 2024 has a youthful and dynamic design. The front of the car stands out with a large, frameless grille. Inside the grille are chrome horizontal slats that extend to the sides, making the front area wider. The headlights and daytime running lights are creatively designed, seamlessly connected to the front grille.

The rear of the car features a cluster of taillights connected by a black strip in the middle, integrating the Nissan logo. Instead of the glowing logo on the front and rear of the car like the concept version, the commercial version only has raised lettering “Pathfinder”. The rear bumper is painted glossy black and integrates two reflector lights. The 20-inch wheels are designed with an aerodynamic profile, similar to the concept version.

Inside the Nissan Pathfinder 2024, there is a 3-row seating configuration with 2 seating options, including 2+2+2 and 2+3+2. In the 6-seater version, the second row of seats will be equipped with two business-class seats, integrating heating/cooling and sun blinds.

The Nissan SUV has a modern interior space, with a standout curved screen on the dashboard, integrating both a digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch touchscreen. Other notable features include electronic parking brake, temporary auto hold feature, panoramic sunroof, heads-up display (HUD), Bose 12-speaker sound system, and wireless phone charging.

The Pathfinder 2024 is developed based on the old D Platform chassis, similar to the Infiniti QX60. The SUV is powered by a 2.0L 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, producing a maximum power of 252 horsepower and a peak torque of 350 Nm. It is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and either a front-wheel drive or an all-wheel drive, depending on the version.

The Nissan Pathfinder 2024 will officially go on sale in China from early next year. The manufacturer has not yet announced the detailed price of this model.
