Introduced globally in early June 2023, dealers in Vietnam have now begun accepting deposits for the new generation of the Lexus GX model.

Accordingly, the car sold in Vietnam will be the GX 550 Luxury version with an expected price of 5.97 billion VND. According to the plan, the car will be launched in April 2024 and start delivery to customers in May 2024.

Previously, starting from June, some private dealers in Vietnam also accepted deposits for this model with expected prices ranging from 6.95 billion VND to 7.4 billion VND.

In the US market, in addition to the Luxury version, the Lexus GX 550 also has Premium, Premium+, Luxury+, Overtrail, and Overtrail+ versions.

In the new generation, the Lexus GX is developed based on the TNGA-F body-on-frame platform, similar to the Land Cruiser 300 and Lexus LX600.

The car has a length of 5,005 mm, a width of 2,114 mm, a height of 1,915 – 1,935 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,850 mm. Therefore, compared to the previous generation, the car is longer by 125 mm, wider by 229 mm, taller by 30 – 50 mm, and the wheelbase has also increased by 61 mm.

The Lexus GX 2024 still retains its square and angular appearance, but it is more masculine. However, some details of the car still feature the distinctive Lexus design. For example, the large-sized spindle grille, the LED daytime running lights in the shape of the letter “L”. The bonnet is designed to be bulging, reminiscent of previous generations of Range Rover. The front bumper is painted in the same color as the body, resembling a protective panel, accompanied by LED fog lights.

The car possesses a strong and masculine style with square blocks on the wheel arches. The window sill of the car is also divided into two distinct levels. The rearview mirrors are designed to be large, with a style similar to that of FJ Cruiser cars.

At the rear, the Lexus GX 2024 has a minimalist design with highlight being the horizontal taillights, following the common style of new Lexus models. The rear window can be opened independently while the trunk has been switched to an electrically operated lifting structure instead of opening on both sides like the previous generation.

Inside the cabin, the Lexus GX 2024 is equipped with many premium features such as a 12.3-inch digital dashboard, a 14-inch center touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto support, and a head-up display. Although it has a larger screen than the previous generation, the manufacturer still keeps two rotating knobs for temperature and volume adjustments. At the rear of the gear lever, there are buttons to control the auxiliary gearbox and differential lock.

The GX 2024 is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.4L V6 gasoline engine with 349 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque. The average fuel consumption of the car is 23.52 liters/100 km.

The car uses a double wishbone front suspension system and a multi-link rear suspension system. Adaptive variable suspension with active shock absorbers is an optional equipment. Combined with the above engine, the car is equipped with a 4-wheel drive system and a standard Torsen center differential.

In terms of safety features, the car is equipped with the Lexus Safety Sense 3.0 technology package, which includes intelligent cruise control, pre-collision warning, emergency brake support, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and traffic sign recognition,…
