On December 8, 2023, Bestune, a Chinese car brand owned by FAW Group, officially launched the new generation mid-size sedan, the B70, with many changes in its exterior compared to the third generation.
This is an old warrior in the Bestune D-segment sedan, first introduced in 2006. Compared to the previous two generations, the 2024 Bestune B70 is no longer based on the Mazda 6 platform. Instead, FAW Group has done it all themselves, like the third generation.

The new Bestune B70 was officially launched with two configurations: standard and premium, priced at 129,900 Chinese yuan to 137,900 Chinese yuan, equivalent to 426 million to 452 million Vietnamese dong. With this amount of money, customers in Vietnam can’t even afford the automatic version of the Hyundai Accent 2023.
New car features
The new Pentium B70, or Bestune B70, has adopted the brand’s new “strong, pure, and sophisticated” design language from FAW Group.
First of all, we can see that the car has an unframed front grille shape, supplemented by dense logo details inside, a permeable light strip, and a split headlights, making the car look more fashionable and youthful.
At the same time, the high ridges on the hood of the new generation mid-size sedan’s engine compartment also give it a sporty feel.
From the side, the new Bestune B70 2024 applies a double waistline design, one of which runs from the headlights to the taillights, along with high ridges on the front and rear wheels, which not only enriches the visual layers but also adds a sporty feel to the car.
At the same time, the thickened wheel spokes also add a touch of sophistication. At the rear, the car uses the popular full-through taillights, combined with the dual exhaust layout with two exhaust outlets on the lower sides, meeting today’s aesthetic demands.
In terms of the car’s body size, the length of the new Bestune B70 is 4,855 mm, 45 mm longer than the current model, with a wheelbase of 2,800 mm, positioned as a mid-size sedan.

In terms of the interior, the new Bestune B70 features a dual-screen design connected to the full LCD instrument panel and the multimedia control screen.
Additionally, the car is equipped with two-way air vents, giving an overall fashionable look. The multi-function two-spoke steering wheel design and the suspect gear structure also bring a luxurious feel to the new car’s interior. The car has a compact gear design and physical buttons appear quite often.

Transmission system
In terms of power, the new Bestune B70 will be equipped with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine, without a combination with an electric motor, which is a general trend of many car brands nowadays.
The heart of the new Bestune B70 will generate a maximum power of 224 horsepower and a maximum torque of 340 Nm. Combined with a 6-speed automatic transmission from Aisin.
Competitors
Since its inception in 2006, the Bestune B70 has witnessed significant changes in the Chinese car market. Its price and size allow it to compete against compact models from foreign brands, such as the Volkswagen Sagitar, Toyota Corolla, etc. In addition, its price range also fits the mid-range and low-range segments with larger cars like the Hyundai Mingtu, Ford Mondeo, Peugoet 408X, etc.
Of course, the difference now is that Chinese brands also offer high-quality products for customers to choose from, such as the Geely Xingrui, Chery Arrizo 8, etc. The development of new energy vehicles has brought more choices to users, and at the same level, the Dark Blue SL03, Roewe D7, etc. are also worth considering.
