Since its launch to date, over 550,000 Winner and Winner X have been sold in the Vietnamese market. So why is Winner X favored by users?

Only in 2021, Hondahas sold 89,014 Winner X – surpassing all other competitors, just like its name – the best-selling position in the manual motorcycle segment. To achieve this resounding success, Honda has listened to the consumers’ feedback very well.

Eye-catching and muscular design

If in the first generation Winner, users could easily spot the resemblance in the design of its siblings in the Honda family, such as WaveRSX and Future; in the Winner X generation, the 150cc manual motorcycle has transformed in the style of Bigbike, learning from its older brothers CBR250R and CBR1000R.

If you look only at the front half of the motorcycle from the engine forward, you can see the sporting spirit is clearly shown on the Winner X, especially for the sport version with three colors: blue, white, and traditional red of the Honda Racing team on the international race track.

Since it is just an upgrade version, the 2022 Honda Winner Xfocuses on improving the imperfections of the previous Winner X generation, rather than introducing it as a completely new version.

The most eye-catching point on the 2022 Winner X is still the front design. The headlight mask with a mini windshield has been redesigned, more compact, refined, and harmonious. The main air intake in the middle has been deeply carved, replacing the previous vertical stripe design with a hexagon honeycomb design.

The fender has also been made more elaborate than the previous Winner X version, with interlacing flat surfaces, supplemented by two eye-catching air inlets on the sides. Even the “collar” part also uses textured plastic material, giving a more rugged feeling.

The lower headlight design is still maintained on the 2022 Winner X. This can be considered a “specialty” detail, inspired by its older brother CBR100R and applied to many models of the company, from AirBlade, SH, to CBR150R and CBR500R.

The front mudguard of the 2022 Honda Winner Xhas also been refined with rough and rugged surfaces, instead of just a single curved fender like other regular models. The motorcycle uses Upside Down forks for the front wheel and a red sports shock absorber for the rear.

A very commendable highlight is that the 2022 Honda Winner X has switched to using integrated turn signals neatly integrated into the bodywork. This is a detail that shows that the Japanese brand has listened and changed according to the opinions of consumers. On the previous Winner X generation, the separate light type was vulnerable to collision and breakage when the owner maneuvers in parking lots or narrow spaces.

The side fairing has also seen many beautiful adjustments and especially very sturdy, no longer flimsy like the previous generation. The previous complex pattern has now given way to a slender side fairing, with a large hole that exudes aerodynamics, similar to the sportbike models of the brand, such as CBR500R or CBR1000R.

The 150cc engine block in black is neatly placed inside the engine compartment and is highlighted by two bright metal circles. The front and rear footrests are made of bright-colored alloy, with good finishing quality, creating a beautiful and premium feeling.

The side fairings of the 2022 Winner X have also undergone many adjustments. The complex design has disappeared and now there are simple surfaces, bringing a neat and airy feeling when looking at it. The “Winner X” decals add a youthful look to the bike.

The two-layer leather seat in dark colors is accompanied by a detachable bullhorn handlebar, still used on the 2022 Winner X. The fuel tank of the motorcycle is placed under this seat and has a capacity of 4.5L.

The LED brake indicator is designed to be hidden under the tail, creating a neat appearance. Meanwhile, the rear turn signals are detachable, similar to the previous version and are located in the same cluster as the rear fender, with an integrated license plate lighting.

Convenient and exciting operation

Owning a 149.1cc engine with a 6-speed manual transmission, the 2022 Honda Winner Xcan reach a maximum power of 11.5kW at 9,000 rpm. In general, this system can be considered gentle. This is also a common feature of Honda models from small to large displacement.

The bike is easy to maintain and very easy to get used to. When traveling daily in the city, the rider will not encounter any obstacles or fatigue. However, the Winner X 2022 can still satisfy the rider’s need for speed.

Just twist the throttle to a speed of over 5,000 rpm, and the rider will immediately feel the instant power transmitted to the rear and turning into thrust, propelling the Winner X forward.

Speed up excitement should be accompanied by safe deceleration. The Winner X 2022 is still equipped with ABS anti-lock brakes for the front wheel and disc brakes for the rear wheel. This safety feature allows the rider to confidently operate the bike under slippery conditions or when passing through wet roads.

The rider can visually monitor the engine speed through the LED electronic display. This beautiful and modern detail is shared by Honda from the CBR150R sibling. The advantage of this incandescent light type is that it has a good display quality under strong sunlight.

In addition, the users of the new Winner X are also “given” a USB 2.1V charging port conveniently located below the left handlebar. On the right side, the mechanical key has also been “transformed” into a modern Smartkey.

In addition, Honda also listened to consumers and adjusted the angle of the exhaust pipe, lowering it by 21 degrees compared to the previous version, so as not to bother the people behind the motorcycle. This is a very commendable change for the 2022 Winner X.

And to save maintenance time for daily use on long distances, the Honda Vietnam engineers have also equipped the motorcycle with an O-ring chain.

So, In 2022, domestic consumers can choose a new version of the Winner X with a muscular and sporty design, exciting operation, and many conveniences, along with adjustments that are suitable for real-life operating conditions in Vietnam. Surely these will be the strengths to continue helping the Winner X win over competitors and take the lead in the segment, just like its name “the winner” suggests.
