The all-new 2024 Kia Sorento was unveiled in South Korea on July 25th. This mid-size SUV features the latest and more refined design language from Kia, along with a sleeker and more modern interior. The international versions are expected to debut in August.
Shortly after Kia released the first official images of the 2024 Sorento, we got to see real-life photos of this SUV hitting the streets of South Korea.
Firstly, you will notice that the front of the car has been redesigned, highlighted by the slimmer and vertically stacked LED headlights. The T-shaped daytime running lights of the Sorento are inspired by the design of the flagship electric model Kia EV9, while also reminiscent of the smaller electric model EV5. The 3D tiger-nose grille is similar to the Carnival.
The rear of the car has also been refined with redesigned taillights and rear bumper trim. Meanwhile, the sides of the car have not changed much, except for the new, more muscular-looking alloy wheels.
For the 2024 Kia Sorento, the designers have created a more ergonomic layout for the dashboard. The car is equipped with a new large curved display, which combines two 12.3-inch screens for the digital instrument cluster and the infotainment system. This new design gives the interior of the 2024 Kia Sorento a more tidy and modern look.
A notable addition to the new Sorento’s tech features is the fingerprint authentication system, which allows users to confirm their identity for starting the car or perform simple payment transactions. Additionally, the car is also offered with new interior trim material options, including a combination of black/brown.
Like its predecessor, the Kia Sorento facelift will be available in the home market of South Korea with a range of powertrain options, including petrol, diesel, and hybrid variants, with both 2WD and 4WD configurations for the hybrid model. A plug-in hybrid version is also expected to be introduced in other markets.
