The Suzuki Jimny 5-door was first introduced in the Indian market earlier this year. After India, this model has now expanded to other markets such as South Africa and most recently, Australia.

In the Australian market, the Suzuki Jimny 5-door is called Jimny XL to differentiate it from the 3-door version. Unlike the 3-door version produced in Japan, the Suzuki Jimny XL 2024 for Australia is a fully imported car from India. It seems that India will be the center of production for the Suzuki Jimny 5-door.

In the Australian market, the Suzuki Jimny XL 2024 has 2 versions: manual and automatic. The corresponding prices of these 2 versions are 34,990 AUD (about 558 million VND) and 36,490 AUD (582 million VND). Compared to the 3-door version, this model is about 3,000 AUD (48 million VND) more expensive.

For the above amount of money, Australian customers will receive a small-sized SUV with dimensions of 3,985 x 1,645 x 1,720 mm (length x width x height) and a wheelbase of 2,590 mm. Compared to the 3-door version, the car’s length and wheelbase are increased by 340 mm. The weight of the car also increases by 90 kg, while the minimum turning radius changes from 9.8 m to 11.4 m.

Compared to the 3-door version, the Suzuki Jimny XL 2024 has not changed much in terms of design, except for the number of doors and chrome accents on the grille. Some of the car’s equipment remains the same as the Suzuki Jimny 3-door currently sold in the Australian market, such as 15-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, reverse camera, 6 airbags, automatic emergency braking system, and lane departure warning.

Inside the Suzuki Jimny XL 2024 is still a 4-seat interior like the 3-door version. However, the luggage compartment volume when using both rows of seats has increased by 85 liters to 211 liters.

This engine is combined with either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission and the AllGrip Pro 4WD system.

The Suzuki Jimny has also appeared at dealerships in Vietnam but has not been officially launched. Unlike the car in India, the Suzuki Jimny for Vietnam is the 3-door version and is fully imported from Japan. According to a sales advisor at the dealership, the estimated price of the Suzuki Jimny at this time is about 800 million VND. The official launch date of the car may be from the beginning of next year.
