Recently, Japanese car manufacturer Suzuki has officially launched the 2024 Swift model.

The car is based on the original concept model introduced at the Japan Mobility Show 2023 exhibition held at the end of October.

The 2024 Suzuki Swift has dimensions of 3,860 x 1,695 x 1,500mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 2,450mm. Compared to the previous generation, the 2024 Suzuki Swift is 20mm longer, 5mm taller, and 40mm narrower.

Overall, the new generation of Suzuki Swift retains the basic design elements of the previous model. The front of the car features a smaller honeycomb grille. The Suzuki “S” logo has been moved up near the hood. The headlights have a new design, combined with a smaller front air vent and additional faux aluminum trim.

On the body of the car, the 2024 Suzuki Swift still features a two-tone color scheme with black door mirrors, pillars, and roof, but with a new detail of a crease above the door handles. In addition, the rear door handles are now back to the traditional style, instead of being hidden on the C-pillar.

The rear of the car features smaller and more square-shaped LED taillights, accompanied by a black rear bumper.

In terms of the interior, the cabin of the new Suzuki Swift seems to be carried over from the concept version. The car is still equipped with a 9-inch touchscreen center display, supporting Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and satellite navigation. Compared to the previous generation, the Swift 2024 now has lever-style air conditioning controls instead of circular knobs.

The 2024 Suzuki Swift still features a CD player, located above the USB ports.

In addition, the car also has other amenities such as heated front seats, automatic climate control, 2 USB ports, front/rear parking sensors, paddle shifters, and a 360-degree camera.

In terms of safety features, the car has basic driving assistance functions such as improved emergency braking, blind spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, automatic reverse braking, automatic headlights, and traffic sign recognition.

Powering the 2024 Suzuki Swift is a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder gasoline engine paired with an undisclosed CVT transmission. The Japanese automaker promises that this new engine will provide better fuel efficiency and performance.

The gasoline engine will be accompanied by an electric motor to improve fuel efficiency and acceleration, but temporary electric-only operation is not allowed. The drivetrain is either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.

Currently, Suzuki has not announced the official price of the car. The company only confirms that the car will be available for sale in Japan soon.

It is likely that after its launch in the home country, the 2024 Suzuki Swift will continue to be introduced in other markets, including Vietnam.

It is expected to be a formidable competitor to the Mazda2 in Vietnam if it retains the same utility features as in Japan.
