On November 15, an account named Danielle posted a video on TikTok showing a Stanley thermos cup still intact inside a burnt Kia car. The video got over 80 million views and quickly became trending.
The video shows Danielle’s orange thermos cup still looking fine, only covered in dust from the previous car fire. She gently shakes the cup and surprisingly finds ice cubes inside, demonstrating the impressive insulation capability of the cup.
After Danielle’s video went viral on social media, Stanley quickly caught wind of the information and their top executive personally responded.
“Thank you for sharing your video, and it truly showcases that our Stanley products are built to last. I can’t think of a better example for the quality of our products,” said Terence Reilly, chairman of Stanley.
“We will be sending you some Stanley products, and more. We haven’t done this before and may never do it again, but we want to gift you a brand-new car,” he messaged Danielle.
In response, Danielle joyfully said, “I watched the video from Stanley’s chairman. I can’t believe I’ve been gifted a brand-new car by the company. Stanley truly is the only thing that survived the car fire.”
