Toyota has recently unveiled the all-new Sport Crossover concept. This is one of the electric vehicles that will be “joining” Toyota’s electrified product line by 2025.
Sport Crossover Concept features a sleek fastback design, while incorporating Toyota’s new design language.
This is demonstrated by the front of the vehicle, which draws inspiration from a hammerhead shark with a “C” shaped headlight cluster that wraps around the hood and a strip of LED lights that serve as daytime running lights.
The car has a sloping roofline, compact side mirrors, and multi-spoke wheels with aerodynamic design.
The rear of the Toyota Sport Crossover Concept is equipped with a taillight cluster that has a similar design to the front lights. Above the taillights is a small ducktail spoiler.
Although interior images have not been shared, Toyota has confirmed that this model will feature a minimalist cabin with a compact steering wheel, a digital instrument cluster, and a curved touchscreen display. It will also have lighting system and storage compartments around the cabin.
According to the plan, the Toyota Sport Crossover Concept will be produced exclusively for the Chinese and European markets by BYD Toyota EV Technology. This is a joint venture between Toyota and BYD established in China.
Toyota promises that the finalized commercial version of the Sport Crossover Concept will be available in the market by 2025. The car will compete with rivals in the urban SUV segment such as the Volvo EX30 and Hyundai Kona…
