Recently, the Cafe-Racer style motorcycle Triumph Thruxton has introduced the Final Edition. Based on the Thruxton RS model, this last version comes in exclusive Competition Green color, with hand-painted yellow decorative trim.
The “Heritage Triumph” logo in gold is on the fuel tank, with “Thruxton Final Edition” badges on the side covers. The flyscreen is an optional equipment.
The Thruxton Final Edition version has the same parallel twin engine as the Thruxton 1200 RS model, with a displacement of 1,200cc, producing a maximum power of 105 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 112 Nm at 4,250 rpm.
The motorcycle is equipped with Brembo M50 radial calipers in combination with a 310 mm Brembo disc on the front wheel with a 32-spoke tubeless rim. The Showa suspension system with Ohlins twin shocks at the rear is adjustable. The rest of the Thruxton 1200 Final Edition is not different from the regular RS version. The first motorcycles will be available at dealerships in the European market from spring next year.
Introduced in 1964 as a limited edition racing motorcycle, the Triumph Thruxton quickly achieved success in endurance races, winning all three positions on the podium at the 1969 Thruxton 500-mile race and becoming the first production motorcycle to complete the Isle of Man TT Mountain Course with a speed over 160 km/h.
