Recently, a businessman living in Ho Chi Minh City surprised car enthusiasts by bringing 2 supercars to Hanoi, including the unique McLaren 765LT Spider in Vietnam. With a limited production of 765 units worldwide, the McLaren 765LT Spider is increasingly in demand. This supercar was purchased by the Saigon tycoon through an official dealer, with a selling price of 29.3 billion VND. After being registered in Ho Chi Minh City, the estimated price of the car is over 32 billion VND.

The convertible supercar has an impressive exterior with a vibrant orange-red paint, different from the McLaren Orange color of the 2 coupe versions.

The basic design of the car is not much different from the hard-top version, except for the electrically operated folding roof and the completely sealed horizontal engine lid, replacing the glass lid with the ability to observe the engine inside.

Compared to the coupe version (hard-top), the 765LT Spider weighs an additional 49 kg due to the folding roof mechanism. Nevertheless, the weight of the car is still lighter than the 720S Spider by about 80 kg, at about 1,388 kg. The roof can be opened/closed in 11 seconds even when the car is operating at speeds below 50 km/h.

The unique McLaren 765LT Spider in Vietnam also sports a different set of wheels compared to the 4 coupe versions, featuring 20-inch twin-spoke wheels with a black surface and highlighted with orange brake calipers, creating a “tonal harmony” for the exterior.

Similarly, the interior features a combination of black and orange colors, with widespread use of carbon fiber and Alcantara materials. The steering wheel is minimalist like the 720S, without any functional buttons. Apart from the new interface, the cabin design of the 765LT is not much different from the McLaren 720S.

Powering the McLaren 765LT Spider is a twin-turbocharged V8 engine with a displacement of 4.0 liters. This engine generates a maximum power of 755 horsepower and a peak torque of 800 Nm, paired with a rear-wheel drive and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. As a result, this supercar can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds before reaching a top speed of 330 km/h.
