Own an electric motorcycle for only half the price of a smartphone
Ms. Le Huyen Anh, a secondary school teacher in Hanoi, just bought a VinFast Evo200 electric motorcycle at a very affordable price even though she already has two petrol motorcycles at home. After applying a 25% discount under the Vietnamese Teachers’ Day appreciation program combined with VinFast’s new pricing policy, she only had to pay 13.5 million VND to own the Evo200.
“For only half the price of a new smartphone, I can own an electric motorcycle that is both powerful and stylish, much cheaper than many petrol models with the same power on the market. Moreover, riding an electric motorcycle is much more enjoyable,” Ms. Huyen Anh shared.
Evo200 is one of the popular models of VinFast at the moment.
Like Ms. Huyen Anh, many other customers have decided to switch to electric motorcycles because of the attractive prices and the accompanying battery rental policies of VinFast at this time.
Looking at the price list of electric motorcycles compared to petrol models in each segment, it can be seen that VinFast’s prices are much more affordable, especially if you choose the battery rental option.
For example, the national electric motorcycle models Evo200 and Evo200 Lite currently have prices as low as 18 million VND, which is 1-3 million VND cheaper than popular petrol models such as Honda Blade, Honda Wave RSX FI, or Yamaha SIRIUS DK. The highest-end model of the Vietnamese brand, Theon S, is even 10 to 17 million VND cheaper than large-sized scooters.
Electric motorcycle maintenance costs are only half of petrol motorcycles
Not only attractive in terms of initial purchase cost, the reason why many people are switching to electric motorcycles is because of the incredibly low maintenance costs thanks to VinFast’s new battery rental policy, which increases the monthly mileage limit to 2,000 km for the 350,000 VND/month package (equivalent to only 175 VND/km). In addition to the electric charging cost, the energy cost per km traveled by a VinFast electric motorcycle is only slightly over 200 VND/km, much cheaper than the petrol cost, which varies from 250 to over 500 VND/km for different petrol motorcycle models.
This can be considered the main reason to convince technology taxi riders like Mr. Van Thanh (Thuong Tin, Hanoi) to switch to electric motorcycles and say goodbye to the old motorcycles he used to make a living. Mr. Thanh shared: “On average, I drive about 200 km a day. Using VinFast’s unlimited mileage battery rental package costs me only 990,000 VND/month, saving more than a million VND compared to the previous petrol expense. Not only do I save more money and increase my income, but also using electric motorcycles helps improve my health compared to when I used petrol motorcycles.”
Low “running cost” and quality products are the strengths of VinFast electric motorcycles.
In addition to the initial purchase cost and monthly operation cost, warranty and maintenance costs are also an absolute advantage of electric motorcycles compared to petrol motorcycles. In fact, electric motorcycle users rarely need to go to the garage more often than petrol motorcycles due to the simple structure of electric motorcycles. The maintenance process of electric motorcycles also does not require regular oil changes and air filter replacements like petrol motorcycles, helping to save significant costs. Moreover, due to their fewer mechanical failures, electric motorcycles tend to have a higher durability.
VinFast’s excellent after-sales policies also help users feel reassured throughout the usage process. Currently, VinFast is the only brand that provides mobile repair services (Mobile Service), along with a network of service centers and dealerships in all 63 provinces and cities to meet all repair and maintenance needs of users. Moreover, the 3-year unlimited mileage warranty policy and the commitment to replace batteries free of charge when the battery quality drops below 70% are currently the best policies on the market.
