In terms of exterior design, Elantra receives an entirely new front end with the brand’s signature grille, although it has been tweaked and has an additional decorative detail similar to recent Hyundai models like the Tucson.
Beside the new grille, the headlights have been redesigned with a more attractive shape, combined with large air intakes for a bolder and sportier look.
The rear bumper has also been enhanced with a prominent U-shaped highlight in body color. Additionally, the car is equipped with new eye-catching wheels.
Inside the cabin, the new Elantra continues to be available with a dual-screen setup, which combines a digital instrument cluster and an infotainment screen – each with a size of 10.25 inches. The layout of the dashboard looks quite similar to the previous version, except for the option of new green seat upholstery.
In the Korean market, the 2024 Elantra facelift is equipped with the naturally aspirated Smartstream 1.6L petrol engine, generating a maximum power of 121 horsepower and a peak torque of 154 Nm. The engine is mated to a CVT transmission.
In addition, there is an option of the naturally aspirated Gamma 1.6L 4-cylinder engine with a powerful 118 horsepower and a peak torque of 152 Nm, combined with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Another powertrain option is the hybrid variant with a power output of 139 horsepower and a torque of 265 Nm, including the Smartstream 1.6L engine assisted by an electric motor.
For those interested in performance, the Elantra N Line can be chosen with the turbocharged Smartstream 1.6L engine producing 201 horsepower and a peak torque of 265 Nm, combined with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The top-of-the-line Elantra N uses the turbocharged Theta 2.0L engine that generates a maximum power of 276 horsepower and a peak torque of 392 Nm, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission or an 8-speed DCT transmission.
