Honda Racing Vietnam team enters the qualifying race at stage 5 of the 2023 Asian Road Racing Championship (ARRC) with enthusiasm and confidence, aiming to fulfill their season goal in China.

At the end of the qualifying race for stage 5 of the 2023 ARRC at Zhuhai International Circuit, Guangdong, China, the positions of Honda Racing Vietnam riders are as follows:

– AP250 category: Cao Viet Nam (number 65) starts at 7th position, while Nguyen Duc Thanh (number 193) is at 22nd position.

– UB150 category: Nguyen Anh Tuan (number 178) ranks 23th, and Nguyen Huu Tri (number 111) ranks 25th.

These achievements show significant improvement compared to the qualifying race at stage 4 of the 2023 ARRC in Indonesia. With these qualifying race results, the chances of winning a podium position for Cao Viet Nam in the AP250 category are high. And of course, there are still opportunities for the other 3 riders of Honda Racing Vietnam to earn points at stage 5 of the 2023 ARRC.

After stage 4, Honda Racing Vietnam is one step closer to their season goal. Specifically, before the season started, Honda Racing Vietnam set a goal of earning 70 points in the AP250 category with their main rider, Cao Viet Nam. After stage 4 in Mandalika, Indonesia, Cao Viet Nam earned 55 points, along with the first points from his teammate, Nguyen Duc Thanh, the team has a total of 56 points. Therefore, Honda Racing Vietnam only needs 14 more points to complete their season goal, and Zhuhai is the opportunity for Honda Racing Vietnam to achieve this goal early!

Stage 5 of the 2023 ARRC is held at the Zhuhai International Circuit, Guangdong, China on November 4-5, 2023. Established in 1996, the Zhuhai International Circuit (ZIC) is China’s first race track built with the ambition to organize world-class racing events. The circuit was designed by Kinhill Engineers Pty Ltd, Australian architectural firm that also designed the F1 track in Adelaide.

The Zhuhai International Circuit has been the venue for top racing events in Hong Kong and Macau, such as HTCC, MTCC, as well as international races like the Endurance World Championship, FIA GT, A1 Grand Prix, etc. Originally, ZIC had a total of 16 turns, but 3 turns were merged according to FIM requirements, leaving the circuit with 14 turns, 4.3 km in length, including 9 right turns and 5 left turns, with the longest straight section measuring 900 meters.

The unique design of the ZIC circuit with continuous turns and short straight sections promises to bring many challenges for the riders participating in stage 5 of the 2023 ARRC to showcase their talents and skills. However, with its flat terrain, ZIC is considered a favorable place for Honda Racing Vietnam, especially rider Cao Viet Nam, to demonstrate their strengths in their second visit to this circuit.

Previously, Honda Racing Vietnam faced the challenge at the Zhuhai circuit for the first time at stage 5 of the 2019 ARRC, leaving unforgettable marks. Especially, “the crazy guy” Cao Viet Nam had an impressive performance in Zhuhai, always striving to close the gap with the leaders.

Let’s follow and cheer for the Vietnamese riders to achieve impressive milestones at stage 5 of the 2023 ARRC taking place at the Zhuhai circuit!
