Honda recently announced that it will introduce several new electric vehicle models at the 2024 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, United States from January 9 to 12, 2024.
Along with the announcement is a teaser image of the front-end design of a concept car to be unveiled at CES 2024. The vehicle features a square-shaped front-end, relatively low ground clearance, and a sloping reverse hood design. The car’s front-end design and headlight cluster suggest that it is likely an evolved version of the e:N GT concept model introduced in early April this year in Shanghai.
In April 2022, Honda unveiled its electric vehicle development roadmap till 2030. The Japanese automaker plans to release 30 new electric vehicle models in the market, with a target sales volume of around 2 million units per year.
In addition, Honda also revealed that it will introduce various new technologies at CES 2024, representing the brand’s transition in the coming years.
Last month, Honda announced the discontinuation of its partnership with GM for electric vehicle development. The reason given was that the electric vehicle market is showing signs of decline. However, both companies will continue to pursue their individual electrification goals.
Honda and GM are still collaborating in other areas, including the recently announced plan to launch autonomous taxis in Tokyo in 2026.
