The fourth generation of Kia Sorento has received a mid-life update, just three years after its initial launch. Debuting in South Korea on July 25th, the midsize SUV features Kia’s latest and more refined design language, accompanied by a cleaner and more modern interior. The international versions are expected to be released in August.
Kia Sorento 2024 rolls out in the real world with a more attractive new look.
First, you’ll notice that the front of the car has been redesigned, highlighted by the new sleeker LED headlights stacked vertically. The T-shaped daytime running lights of the Sorento’s headlights draw inspiration from the flagship electric model, the Kia EV9, and also resemble the smaller electric model, the EV5. The 3D tiger-nose grille is similar to the one on the Carnival.
The rear of the car has also been refined in terms of the taillight design and the lower bumper trim. Meanwhile, the sides of the car haven’t changed much, except for the new sportier-looking alloy wheels.
For the Kia Sorento 2024, the designers have implemented a more harmonious layout for the dashboard. The car is equipped with a new large curved display, which combines the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and infotainment system screens. This new design gives the interior of the 2024 Kia Sorento a neater and more modern look.
A notable addition to the new Sorento’s tech features is the fingerprint authentication system, which allows users to verify their identity to start the car or perform simple payment transactions. Additionally, the car is offered with new interior trim material options, including a black/brown combination.
Like its predecessor, the Kia Sorento facelift will be available in the domestic market of South Korea with a range of powertrain options, including gasoline, diesel, and hybrid variants, with both 2WD and 4WD configurations for the hybrid model. The plug-in hybrid variant is also expected to be introduced in other markets.
