Launched in March 2022, the Mercedes-AMG G 63 Edition 55 is a special edition to commemorate 55 years of the AMG brand. The special edition is only available in two exterior colors, Obsidian Black and G manufaktur Opaline White. It comes with 22-inch Tantalum Gray multi-spoke wheels with decorative patterns along both sides of the car. In addition, the G 63 Edition 55 special edition is equipped with the AMG Night Package and Night Package II, featuring sporty dark accents.
The interior of the car uses premium materials such as carbon fiber, Dinamica synthetic fiber, and Nappa leather, with a dominant color scheme of red and black. The “AMG 55” emblem is adorned on the steering wheel and armrest. The black floor mats are highlighted with red trim and the “Edition 55” lettering.
As for the powertrain, the Mercedes-AMG G 63 Edition 55 still uses a twin-turbocharged 4.0L V8 engine producing 577 horsepower and a maximum torque of 850 Nm. It is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission (9G-Tronic) combined with a 2-coupling all-wheel-drive system and 3 differential locks to optimize off-road capabilities.
According to a reliable source, the Mercedes-AMG G 63 Edition 55 has received deposits and can arrive in Vietnam in early 2023 as imported from Germany. However, the price of this edition in Vietnam has not yet been announced. In Germany, the Mercedes-AMG G 63 Edition 55 is priced higher by 17,850 Euros (about 450 million VND) compared to the standard G 63.
