After much speculation, Mitsubishi Vietnam has officially announced the launch date of the all-new Xforce compact SUV.

Accordingly, Xforce will debut in Vietnam on January 10, 2024. The first commercial vehicles are expected to be delivered to customers after the Lunar New Year.

The car will be imported as a complete built-up unit from Indonesia in 4 versions. Although the selling price has not been announced, Mitsubishi promises that Xforce will have a competitive price in the segment. Currently, many authorized dealers are still accepting deposits for this car with an expected price range of 700 – 800 million VND.

Mitsubishi Xforce is positioned in the crossover/SUV B-segment, directly competing with rivals such as Toyota Corolla Cross, Honda HR-V, Mazda CX-30, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and MG ZS. The newcomer from Mitsubishi has dimensions of 4,390 x 1,810 x 1,660 mm (length x width x height), with a wheelbase of 2,650 mm and ground clearance of 222 mm.

Mitsubishi Xforce features a interior and exterior design that is very similar to the XFC Concept that was introduced in Vietnam by the Japanese automaker last year, with some changes made to make it suitable for commercial production. Overall, this SUV has a modern and sporty look thanks to Mitsubishi’s distinctive Dynamic Shield design language.

In its standard version, the car has full LED lighting for front and rear, shark fin antenna, and 17-inch alloy wheels. Higher trim levels will come with LED fog lights, 18-inch alloy wheels, and a two-tone exterior.

In terms of interior, Xforce offers a modern interior space that is among the best in its segment. The standard version comes with features such as push-start button, electronic parking brake, fabric seats, 8-inch audio system with 4 speakers, digital air conditioning, and cooling function for drinks. Higher trim levels will include leather-wrapped steering wheel, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, leather seats, 8-inch multi-information display, 12.3-inch audio system, and wireless charging. Especially in the top-of-the-line version, the car will be equipped with power tailgate and premium Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium sound system.

When launched in Vietnam, Mitsubishi Xforce will be equipped with a 1.5L petrol engine with 104 horsepower and 141 Nm of torque, combined with a CVT automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. The car has 4 driving modes: normal, gravel, mud, and for the first time, a slippery road mode and MacPherson front suspension.

In terms of safety technology, Xforce is equipped with a range of features such as 4 airbags, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning and mitigation, automatic headlights, forward moving vehicle reminder, lane change assist with blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, disc brakes on both front and rear wheels, and more.
