Racecar Accident Involving Rowan Atkinson, AKA Mr. Bean
On September 13th, beloved English actor Rowan Atkinson, also known as “Mr. Bean”, participated in a vintage car race called the Shelby Cup at Goodwood. The event was held to commemorate 60 years of the V8 engine. Unfortunately, the 59-year-old comedy icon was involved in an unfortunate accident during the race.
At the time of the accident, “Mr. Bean” was driving his vintage green Ford Falcon Sprint. According to the Telegraph, the accident occurred when a competitor ahead of “Mr. Bean” suddenly lost control of their vehicle, causing it to veer off the track.
Another driver had to swerve to avoid colliding with the aforementioned car. Meanwhile, “Mr. Bean” was unable to stop his Ford Falcon Sprint due to the narrow distance between the vehicles and the unexpected situation. As a result, his vintage Ford Falcon Sprint collided head-on with the car involved in the initial accident. Thankfully, the famous British actor was unharmed in the incident.

Over the years, “Mr. Bean” has participated in numerous races at Goodwood. In addition to his passion for racing, the star of “Johnny English: Reborn” has an impressive collection of cars, including a Honda NSX, Jaguar Mk7, Aston Martin DB2, BMW 328 1939, Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, and the legendary McLaren F1.

This is not the first time “Mr. Bean” has been involved in a car accident. In 2011, his multi-million-dollar McLaren F1 supercar crashed into a tree after losing control at high speed. Fortunately, “Mr. Bean” survived the accident while the McLaren F1 sustained significant damage. The insurance company had to pay £910,000 (approximately $1.47 million) to repair the McLaren F1, which took over a year. Recently, “Mr. Bean” has been spotted on the streets with his McLaren F1.
