Over the past few years, Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu has been continuously acquiring rare and expensive cars in Vietnam, such as the Audi R8 V10 Plus, Ferrari California T, and Ferrari F12. However, the coffee tycoon recently surprised everyone by purchasing a used Maserati GranTurismo.
According to images shared by the car dealership familiar with Mr. Vu, the car belongs to the first generation (2007-2019), estimated to be from the years 2015-2016. Although the exact value was not disclosed, it is estimated that the coffee mogul had to spend around 5 billion VND to own this sports car from the prestigious Italian brand, which was originally priced at around 12 billion VND when new.
This is also one of the few Maseratis in the garage of the businessman from Khanh Hoa province, as the remaining Levante Trofeo 2022 falls into an even rarer category, with only 100 units produced worldwide. This has raised questions about Mr. Trung Nguyen’s purchase of this car, as he has always been known as a Ferrari enthusiast.
This Italian sports car is powered by a “heart” made by the famous Italian brand – a 4.7-liter V8 engine, producing a maximum power of 454 horsepower and a torque of 520 Nm, combined with a 6-speed ZF automatic transmission. Thanks to this configuration, the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 301 km/h.
The exterior of the Maserati GranTurismo is painted in the familiar white color used on many vehicles from the Trung Nguyen Group, with the letters “UN” on both sides of the doors. The car features 20-inch multi-spoke wheels finished in silver and blue brake calipers.
Notably, the car is equipped with the MC Stradale exterior upgrade package, giving it a more sporty look and reducing the inherent “mildness” of the car. This package includes a more angular front bumper, new side skirts with air vents, and a larger rear diffuser and spoiler.
The mileage of the car is unclear, but the cabin shows that this GranTurismo has been lightly used and well-maintained. The leather seats show no signs of wrinkles, although the steering wheel shows some signs of wear. Some carbon fiber details, such as the steering wheel, dashboard, and door panels, are present. The seating configuration of the car is 2+2, but the space for the rear seats is quite small.
In Vietnam, the Maserati GranTurismo is quite rare, with only a handful of units in the country. For example, the most recent 2022 model was priced at nearly 14 billion VND by the official distributor – a price comparable to some supercars like the Mercedes-AMG GT R and McLaren Artura.
