Recently, rumors of the third Porsche 911 Dakar landing in Vietnam have been circulating on social media.

According to speculation, the car belongs to a tycoon named Hieu. This Porsche 911 Dakar has a white exterior, without a serial number or Porsche badge like the two previous models that arrived in the country. The car still retains the 19-inch Zoll Dakar wheels at the front and 20-inch wheels at the rear, along with red brake calipers and off-road tires.

It is known that Vietnam has a total of 3 units of this special edition, with the first one featuring GT Silver Metallic paint and the serial number 1904/2500, which was delivered to its owner at the end of August. The second 911 Dakar, owned by “coffee king” Dang Le Nguyen Vu, also arrived in Vietnam in October. And now, the third car has officially appeared in Vietnam.

The Porsche 911 Dakar is considered a special edition of the 911 series with off-road capabilities, as well as a commemoration of Porsche’s first overall victory at the Paris-Dakar Rally in 1984. According to information from the company, only 2,500 cars were produced worldwide.

The car is developed based on the platform of the standard 911 Carrera but has been upgraded to be able to move on various terrains. Porsche has refined the suspension system, raising the ground clearance by 80 mm compared to regular 911 versions, reaching 200 mm.

When activating the Off-road High Level mode, the ground clearance will increase by an additional 30 mm. This provides the car with a ground clearance and off-road performance comparable to mainstream SUVs, allowing the car to overcome speed bumps and speed humps without worries. This mode will automatically turn off when the car exceeds 170 km/h.

Providing power for the Porsche 911 Dakar is a 3.0L 6-cylinder boxer engine with 473 horsepower and 570 Nm of torque, coupled with an 8-speed PDK automatic transmission and AWD drive system. With this power, the car can accelerate to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 240 km/h. In addition, the car also has Rallye and Off-road driving modes, along with Rallye Launch Control feature to optimize traction by 20%.

In Vietnam, the Porsche 911 Dakar is officially imported with a price of nearly 15.3 billion VND (not including additional options).
