Following the EV5, EV6, and EV9, in 2024, the Korean car manufacturer will introduce the Kia EV3 small SUV to users.

The exact size of the Kia EV3 is not yet known. However, according to many speculations, the vehicle will have a wheelbase length of about 4.4 meters, similar to the Seltos in the gasoline vehicle segment. When launched, the EV3 will compete with VinFast VF 6, Volvo EX30, Peugeot e-2008, etc.

In terms of design, the Kia EV3 will have a modern and distinctive appearance with more angular and sculpted shapes than its “siblings” EV5 and EV9. Compared to the concept version released in October 2023, the Kia EV3 will have some adjustments to better fit the practical conditions.

Regarding the interior, the Korean car manufacturer still maintains a sleek and minimalist design on the EV3. Inside the cabin, environmentally-friendly materials are used, such as seats made from natural fibers with a very strong structure, while the central control cluster is made from specially treated tree roots.

The company will also improve the convenience features in the driver’s compartment to better suit the users, rather than simply transferring them from the concept version.

Similar to its “siblings” EV5, EV3 will also have the ability to continuously update software via internet connection. In addition, the vehicle may have an autonomous driving system called AutoMode in higher trim levels.

Kia EV3 is equipped with the same E-GMP platform as EV6 and EV9. However, it uses a more cost-effective 400V hardware platform. The vehicle’s battery capacity ranges from 58 to 77.4 kWh.

Powering the Kia EV3 will be a default single motor and a premium dual motor. The exact specifications of the vehicle are still being kept under wraps.

EV3 will be an important part of Kia’s plan to significantly expand its electric vehicle product line. The company’s goal is to achieve one million electric vehicle sales worldwide by 2026 and ultimately have electric vehicles account for nearly 40% of global sales by 2030.

The vehicle will officially debut in mid-2024 with an estimated starting price of 30,000 USD (727.7 million VND).
