On the afternoon of November 4, the riders of the Honda Racing Vietnam team entered the first official race day of stage 5 of the 2023 Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) in China with an enthusiastic and confident attitude.
In the AP250 category, rider Cao Viet Nam (number 65) with a starting position of 7th competed determinedly, competing on par with the top riders.
However, in lap 5, Cao Viet Nam unfortunately crashed while entering a corner. The fall prevented him from completing Race 1.
This is a very regrettable occurrence, as during the first 5 laps of Race 1, Cao Viet Nam performed very well, with moments where he even competed for 4th and 3rd positions. At the end of Race 1, rider number 65 finished in 20th place. Hopefully, Cao Viet Nam will continue to have an outstanding performance in Race 2 to make it to the podium.
However, luckily the AP250 category still brought points for the Honda Racing Vietnam team when rider Nguyen Duc Thanh (number 193), despite starting in an unfavorable position, 22nd, still competed with great determination. At one point, he even came close to breaking into the Top 10.
After completing 10 laps in Race 1, Nguyen Duc Thanh finished in 12th place and earned an additional 4 points.
Meanwhile, in the UB150 category, Honda Racing Vietnam riders Nguyen Anh Tuan (number 178) and Nguyen Huu Tri (number 111), starting in positions 23 and 25 respectively, finished in 20th and 21st places.
Let’s continue to cheer for the Vietnamese riders in Race 2 at the Zhuhai racetrack taking place tomorrow, Sunday (November 5th). Hopefully, all of the riders will have explosive performances to achieve early finishes!

When Honda CBR250RR, ridden by Vietnamese racer Cao Viet Nam, crossed the finish line in Race 2 of the opening round of the 2023 Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC), the entire team erupted with joy. Even the “madman” himself couldn’t contain his emotions at that moment, as it was the first time that rider number 65 and the Honda Racing Vietnam team had secured a top-four finish in the AP250 category after years of competing in this championship.
