Although there is no official release date yet, the Suzuki Jimny has been pre-ordered by several dealers for an expected price of VND 789 million, and at some point the price has even reached VND 900 million.
According to the information we have received, the Suzuki Jimny is currently displayed at 2 dealerships in Ho Chi Minh City, including one car at a dealership in District 12 and one car in Tan Binh. This is an opportunity for customers who are interested in this model to have a closer look at the Suzuki Jimny. According to sales advisors, Suzuki Jimny still does not have an official selling price and the car will be available for sale in the beginning of next year.
It is reported that this off-road SUV will only be sold in the Vietnamese market with a limited quantity of about 150 units. According to sales advisors, the Suzuki Jimny in Vietnam will have a starting price of VND 789 million for the 1-tone color version including white, silver, black, gray, pearl white, and blue. Meanwhile, the 2-tone color version will have a price of VND 799 million, including blue black, gold black, and pearl white black.
Suzuki Jimny has two body types, 3-door and 5-door. The version introduced in Vietnam will be the 3-door model and will be directly imported from Japan.
Suzuki Jimny in Vietnam has dimensions of 3,480mm in length, 1,645mm in width, 1,720mm in height, and a wheelbase length of 2,250mm. The exterior of the car has a wild and rugged style, reminiscent of the SUVs Land Rover Defender and Mercedes-Benz G-Class.
It is not clear what safety equipment the car will have when it arrives in Vietnam. It is expected that this SUV will be equipped with LED headlights/taillights, 15-inch alloy wheels, 195/80R15 tires, and a spare tire located in the center of the trunk. The interior of the car has a design similar to the Suzuki Swift with a 3-spoke steering wheel, analog instrument cluster, 7-inch floating touchscreen with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, single-zone automatic air conditioning, AM/FM/Radio/MP3/WMA system, SD card slot, Bluetooth connectivity, USB port, and 2 speakers.
The Suzuki Jimny will be powered by the K15B petrol engine with 4 cylinders in a straight configuration, a displacement of 1.5L, maximum power output of 100 horsepower and 130 Nm of torque, accompanied by a 4-speed automatic transmission and 4-wheel drive system.
Aiming at customers who love sports, off-road driving, and outdoor activities, the Suzuki Jimny is a small-sized SUV with 4-wheel drive and an active transfer case.
In terms of safety features, the car will include basic driving assistance functions such as ABS anti-lock braking system, electronic brake force distribution EBD, brake assist BA, electronic brake force distribution EBD, traction control system TCS, hill start assist, hill descent control, and 2 front airbags.
