Due to the backlit teaser images of the Toyota Land Cruiser 2025, we can only see the overall shape of the car, making it difficult to see the detailed designs. The new Toyota Land Cruiser is positioned right next to the FJ40 generation model introduced in 1960.

The proportions of the new model’s body and windows look very similar to the Lexus GX 2024, which means that these two SUVs will share the same platform as their predecessors. However, the new Land Cruiser seems to have redesigned the body to create a distinctiveness from its siblings. The front of the car is more rectangular with smaller and lower headlights, which may be connected to the grille.

At the rear, the larger taillights still retain the old style, combined with a high protruding rear bumper, reminiscent of previous generations of Land Cruisers.

The interior is likely to offer a three-row configuration with seven seats, combining practicality with the latest Toyota technologies.

The Toyota Land Cruiser 2025 is expected to share the TNGA-F platform with the Lexus GX and many other SUV models as well as other pickup truck models from the Japanese automaker. If it has the same length of 5,005mm as the GX, it will be slightly larger than the Land Cruiser J300, which is currently being distributed in other markets, with a length of 4,985mm. However, the different front and rear bumpers may change the length of the new Land Cruiser.

In terms of powertrain, it is highly likely that the Land Cruiser 2025 will be equipped with a twin-turbocharged V6 3.4L engine, producing a maximum output of 349 horsepower, similar to the Lexus GX, and may have the option of the i-Force Max hybrid engine for a combined output of 437 horsepower, like the Toyota Sequoia electric conversion model. Regardless of the engine choice, the Land Cruiser 2025 is likely to come with a 10-speed automatic transmission and a full-time 4WD system.
