Vietnamese tycoon buys the only red Ram 1500 TRX pickup truck in Vietnam, with a price tag of over 9 billion VND

Recently, car enthusiasts were excited by the news that a female customer spent over 9 billion VND to buy the unique red Ram 1500 TRX pickup truck in Vietnam.

According to the seller, this Ram 1500 TRX pickup truck is one of the rare 6.2 models sold in Vietnam. It is also the first and only Ram 1500 TRX in Vietnam with a red exterior.

Instead of having the car delivery ceremony at the showroom, the female customer received the car directly at her home.

The Ram 1500 TRX is currently the most powerful full-size commercial pickup truck in the world. In the Vietnamese market, this American pickup truck is being sold by dealerships at a price of 7.9 billion VND. Including the necessary expenses for road legal registration, the estimated total cost for the owner is over 9 billion VND.

The dimensions of the truck are 5,916 x 2,235 x 2,054 mm (length x width x height) with a wheelbase of 3,685 mm. The cargo bed has dimensions of 1,687 x 543 mm (width x height). The Ram 1500 TRX also has a ground clearance of up to 300 mm, allowing it to easily wade through water up to 813 mm deep.

This unique red Ram 1500 TRX pickup truck has a muscular and powerful appearance, with a distinct American touch. The front fascia features a large grille with the Ram logo in the center, and a “brawny” hood with numerous air vents to cool the engine compartment below.

The truck has various plastic cladding elements surrounding the front bumper, grille, and lighting cluster, giving it a sturdy and sporty look.

As the top-of-the-line version of Ram, the 1500 TRX is designed to conquer the most rugged terrains. Therefore, Ram has used high-strength steel for the entire frame of the 1500 TRX, enhancing its torsional rigidity, stability, and durability.

To maximize the off-road capabilities of the Ram 1500 TRX, the truck is equipped with specialized Goodyear Wrangler Territory 35-inch tires and 18-inch wheels. It also features the FOX Racing Shox Live-Valve suspension system developed by FOX and Ford Performance.

In addition, the Ram 1500 TRX has an enhanced auxiliary transmission with stronger chains, gears, bearings, and clutches, connected to the rear Dana 60 axle which can travel up to 13 inches and has an electronic rear differential lock.

In terms of interior, the truck can accommodate 5 passengers. The seats are upholstered in fabric and vinyl, with red accents and carbon fiber trim. The driver’s seat features 8-way power adjustment and memory function. The rear seats are spacious enough for 3 adults, and are equipped with 60:40 split-folding and reclining functions, ample legroom, and a spacious headroom.

Some notable features on this world’s fastest pickup truck include a 12-inch Uconnect 4C NAV touchscreen display, a flat-bottom steering wheel with paddle shifters, an aluminum gear lever, a Harman Kardon 19-speaker 900W audio system, wireless charging, 5 USB ports, a heads-up display, a panoramic sunroof, rear passenger windows, etc.

Furthermore, the Ram 1500 TRX “beastly dinosaur” also comes with other notable options such as digital rearview mirrors with a 9.2-inch LCD screen, front obstacle detection camera for off-road assistance, and the highest option is the TR2 package. This package includes various carbon fiber accents around the truck and a display on the windshield.

Powering the Ram 1500 TRX is a supercharged 6.2L HEMI V8 engine – shared from the Dodge Challenger/Charger Hellcat lineup – producing over 702 horsepower and a maximum torque of 881 Nm. This engine is paired with an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission and a 4WD system, allowing the Ram 1500 TRX to accelerate from 0 to 96 km/h in just 4.5 seconds, complete a quarter-mile run in 12.9 seconds, and reach a top speed of 190 km/h.
