The VF 7 is the 6th smart electric SUV model, completing VinFast’s range of pure electric SUVs, covering all segments from A to E.
VinFast VF 7 comes in two versions: Base and Plus, designed in the “Asymmetric Aerospace” language by Torino Design (Italy), embodying freedom, technology, sophistication, and individuality.
The front and rear of the car are highlighted by VinFast’s signature wing-shaped LED strip lights. The coupe-style front end and large wheel arches, along with 20-inch alloy wheels, contribute to a strong and sporty look.
With a length of 4,545mm (wheelbase length of 2,840 mm), width of 1,890mm, height of 1,635.75mm, and ground clearance of 190mm, the VF 7 offers a spacious interior with premium leather seats.
The VF 7 is designed with the driver in mind, with interior highlights including a large 12.9-inch touchscreen entertainment system, a head-up display (HUD) for information display on the windshield, a unique two-tone D-cut steering wheel, and exquisitely designed piano-like buttons for gear shifting.
To enhance personalization, the VF 7 offers 6 exterior color choices, 2 interior color options, with the Plus version featuring two-tone interior colors, suitable for individual personalities, styles, and preferences. Additionally, users can choose the panoramic glass roof (Plus version) for a luxurious feel and a superior experience compared to the C segment.
In terms of performance, VinFast equips the Plus version of the VF 7 with two electric motors with a maximum total power of 260 kW (equivalent to 349 horsepower), a maximum torque of 500 Nm, and full-time four-wheel drive, making it the most powerful car in its segment. Combined with a 75.3 kWh battery pack, the car can travel up to 431 km on a full charge (according to WLTP standards).
Meanwhile, the VF 7 Base version is equipped with a single electric motor with a maximum power of 130 kW (equivalent to 174 horsepower), a maximum torque of 250 Nm, and a 59.6 kWh battery pack, capable of traveling up to 375 km on a full charge (according to WLTP standards). While the Plus version caters to maximum speed enthusiasts and long-distance travel needs, the Base version is stylish and flexible for urban roads.
In terms of safety features, the car is equipped with 8 airbags and a full range of advanced active safety systems such as Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Emergency Brake Assist (BA), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control System (TCS), Hill Start Assist (HSA), Roll Over Mitigation (ROM), etc. In particular, the Plus version is equipped with an advanced ADAS driving assistance system with 11 basic features and 15 advanced features. At the time of delivery, the VF 7 will come with basic ADAS features such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot warning, door opening warning, forward automatic emergency braking, and a 360-degree camera system… Other features will be updated free of charge by VinFast remotely in 2024.
Both versions feature the VF Connect smart service package with the most advanced technologies and intelligent features such as a voice-activated virtual assistant capable of interacting in multiple Vietnamese dialects, supporting car control and Q&A, storytelling; automatic emergency call function; illegal intrusion monitoring and alerting; real-time monitoring and display of vehicle information… These are features unique to VinFast electric cars, completely different from petrol models in the same segment.
VinFast VF 7 Base is priced at 850 million VND (excluding battery) and 999 million VND (including battery); Plus version is priced at 999 million VND (excluding battery) and 1.199 billion VND (including battery).
VinFast offers a battery rental package of 2.9 million VND/month for a maximum travel distance of 3,000 km/month, and 4.8 million VND/month for distances exceeding 3,000 km. The battery rental deposit is 41 million VND, which will be refunded to customers when they terminate the battery rental contract, return the battery to VinFast, or transfer the car and battery to others.
The car comes with a 10-year or 200,000 km official warranty (whichever comes first), and the accompanying battery is warranted for 10 years, unlimited mileage. In addition, customers are supported by a range of unique after-sales services for VinFast electric cars throughout their ownership period, including: Mobile Service, Mobile Charging, 24/7 Rescue Service, Special Support for incidents caused by manufacturer’s defects that inconvenience users, Commitment to repurchase used electric cars after 5 years… A network of public charging stations covers highways, urban areas, schools, hospitals, shopping centers… in 63 provinces and cities, making it convenient and easy to use VinFast electric cars nationwide.
VinFast will officially begin accepting deposits for VF 7 cars from 12:00 PM on December 2, 2023, at VinFast showrooms, distributors nationwide, or via the websitehttps://reserve.vinfastauto.com. With a non-refundable deposit of 50 million VND, the early bird customers who deposit for VF 7 before 12:00 PM on December 30, 2023, will receive a discount of 30 million VND (deducted from the car price), as well as a one-year free public charging. Customers will not be eligible for these benefits if they transfer the deposit to another buyer.
It is expected that the first commercial VF 7 cars will be handed over to customers before Tet holiday.
