The winning bidder of the blue Land Rover with a price of 3 billion VND has forfeited their deposit and did not submit enough money to own the vehicle. The authorities have stated that the car will be re-auctioned.
On November 20th, information from the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Thanh Hoa province stated that the winning bidder of the Land Rover with license plate 36B-1771, at a price of 3 billion VND, did not submit enough money to own the vehicle and forfeited their deposit.
According to the representative from the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Thanh Hoa province, the winning bidder was Mr. V.N.S (from Thanh Hoa city, Thanh Hoa province). However, after winning the auction, Mr. S did not fulfill his financial obligations.
According to regulations, the Provincial Environmental Protection Agency of Thanh Hoa province (under the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Thanh Hoa province) will cancel the previous auction results and follow the necessary procedures to re-auction the vehicle.
Earlier, on November 9th, Hoang Duc Auction Company organized the auction of a 5-seater car, Land Rover brand, with license plate 36B-1771, manufactured in 2008 and imported from England. This is a liquidated asset of the Provincial Environmental Protection Agency, under the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Thanh Hoa province. The starting price of the vehicle was 71 million VND.
In the first bidding round, the vehicle received bids of over 1 billion VND. In the second round, there were 17 applications participating in the auction, and Mr. V.N.S had the highest bid of 3 billion VND. According to regulations, if the winning bidder does not submit the full amount within 7 days, they will lose the 14 million VND deposit.
The Land Rover from 2008 mentioned above is specifically called the Defender 110. The car is equipped with a 2.4L 4-cylinder engine, producing 122 horsepower and 360Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission.
