In November, Chinese media revealed that Xiaomi has registered the trademark for its first car, the SU7, on the website of the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, which has caused a lot of excitement.

Until now, through the Tianyancha application, it has been known that Xiaomi Technology Co., Ltd has submitted the application for the “Xiaomi SU7” trademark and the current trademark status is under examination of the content. Furthermore, Xiaomi Auto has also revealed the presence of their first electric car called SU7.

Even on Xiaomi Auto’s website, they hint that they are moving one step closer to launching the SU7 into the market, with information such as “Xiaomi’s autonomous driving technology is launched and the goal is to enter the industry’s front lines by 2024.”

Previously, the design of the Xiaomi SU7 car was revealed. The car was designed by Li Tianyuan, the designer of the BMW iX, and incorporates common design elements, with a simple and sporty overall appearance. The length, width, and height are 4997/1963/1440mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 3000mm. It is positioned as a sports coupe model.

Just a few days ago, Xiaomi Motors applied for a new patent for an integrated body structure and integrated battery. The summary states that the integrated body structure and integrated battery includes a body and an electric battery. The body includes two crossbars. Two door beams run along both sides of the car, arranged at intervals in the left and right directions, and each door beam is provided with a battery installation component.

Through the above technical solution, a crossbar is integrated on the top surface of the battery box, which can reinforce the main body part of the battery box and improve the rigidity and power transmission efficiency of the side impact of the battery box, acting as a floor panel, improving the performance of the battery box.

The integration level of the car can reduce the weight of the car body structure, making the car lighter and increasing the driving range of the car. The new model is expected to have three versions: standard, Pro, and Max, with differences in configurations like lidar, etc.

In terms of power, the Xiaomi SU7 is equipped with CATL lithium ternary batteries with front and rear motor power of 220 kW/275 kW. Additionally, there is a lithium iron phosphate version by Verdi equipped with a single motor with a power of 220 kW.
