Yamaha Motor Vietnam Company officially introduces the all-new Yamaha PG-1 with the message “Free to Wander”.

This is the generation of motorcycles that carries the flexibility of an urban motorcycle but has the adventurous spirit of wild motorcycles. PG-1 was created to open up a completely new segment of motorcycles in the Vietnamese market.

At present, the launch of PG-1 is a clear evidence of Yamaha’s continuous transmission of strong spiritual values into each product, demonstrating a respect for the driving inspiration of every customer.

Aiming at the Gen Z generation, who are always full of enthusiasm, passion for exploration, and not afraid to pursue different styles, every element that constitutes PG-1 revolves around those spirits. A personality-full design, a durable, fuel-efficient engine, and countless convenient functions, PG-1 will not only be a motorcycle but also a reliable and inspiring companion on any adventure.

Yamaha believes that PG-1 is the starting point for a youth associated with exciting exploration journeys. On those trips, PG-1 will awaken and connect the spirits of freedom, which is the greatest inspiration and an endless source of energy for passionate souls to explore and conquer more milestones of themselves. From then on, young Gen Z people will have their own meaningful, memorable, and truly “Free to Wander” youth with PG-1.

The new PG-1 combines the easy operation of an urban motorcycle and good performance for long journeys, bringing different driving inspirations. The motorcycle is specially designed to meet the two needs of young people, which are: City ride: showing strong personality on the streets and Soft-roading ride: showing off-road personality but with a relaxed vibe.

FLEXIBLE AND DURABLE ENGINE:

113.7cc fuel-efficient engine, agile in the city, durable for long trips

PG-1 is equipped with a 4-stroke, SOHC, 113.7cc, 2-valve, electronic fuel injection, air-cooled engine. It has high torque performance, easy to use, and low fuel consumption. It is suitable for multi-purpose use, from daily commuting in the city to weekend trips.

The power and torque output of the engine are transmitted as a driving force through a 4-speed gearbox with an automatic centrifugal clutch. Along with the shortened secondary transmission ratio (Finn: 40:14 → PG-1: 40:13), it creates acceleration and strong pulling force.

Forged aluminum piston technology and gauze-shaped cylinder bore

The cylinder of the engine uses a lightweight forged aluminum piston, which has high durability to achieve excellent response and low vibration. This contributes to a smooth acceleration feeling.
In addition, the cylinder bore has a unique pre-formed gauze-shaped lining.

With this technology, small gauzes (protruding parts) act on the outer surface of the steel sleeve to effectively increase the contact area between the cylinder bore and the cylinder lining. This provides better heat dissipation and thereby contributes to a more stable engine performance.

FRAME FEATURES:

Large front/rear block-pattern tires, rugged block-shaped design

Both front and rear tires are 90/100 16 inch large tires. In addition, the tire tread is a square block shape that provides good balance, and the grooves help increase friction and tire grip on all terrains.

“H” front fork with excellent rigidity and stability

PG-1 uses an “H” design (30mm front fork – 130mm fork stroke) with two separate forks arranged parallel to each other until the front fork center. This arrangement increases stiffness and stability when riding on various terrains or at high speeds.

Powerful and mechanically captivating rear suspension

The rear suspension is in a dual form, with a 109mm travel distance, providing good operation on bumpy roads and good load support. The entire suspension connection mechanism to the body is exposed, creating a captivating mechanical design.

Wider and sturdier rear grab bar

To withstand high loads when riding on unpaved roads and continuously riding long distances, PG-1 has a wider and larger rear grab bar. This increases stiffness, reduces vibration, and helps provide a more comfortable riding experience.

Newly designed main frame to withstand higher loads and pressures

In order to match the use of high-stiffness “H” front forks, the main frame and related parts have been completely redesigned. This creates a frame design with a good balance between stiffness and strength, minimizing noise and vibration.

CONVENIENT FEATURES:

Flexible and comfortable riding position

The PG-1 seat is designed with a split seat, with the front seat longer to make the rider more flexible in the sitting position to suit driving situations both in the city and on long trips. The narrow body makes it easier to put your feet on the ground and control the bike.

Minimalist instrument cluster, intuitive display

The instrument cluster combines a circular speedometer and an oval fuel gauge display. Other important indicators such as total distance, speed, and gear position are arranged scientifically and intuitively, with an angle arranged for optimal observation.

Lightweight handlebars with high stiffness

The lightweight handlebars have high stiffness, optimized in size and design, serving various comfortable and diverse riding positions such as sitting and standing riding.

Function buttons are fully arranged (power ignition button, passing button, turn signal button, engine cut-off button, horn button) and located in easily accessible positions.

Characteristic classic front/rear lighting system

The front headlight has a large size and is mounted close to the frame, which creates a cohesive appearance.
The rear taillight has a neat design but still ensures brightness in all conditions. The rear mudguard is thin and light, and the handle is designed to be simple and easy to hold in various moving situations.

Safe front disc brake system

The front brake system of PG-1 uses a disc brake, enhancing safety in many braking cases, especially during emergency braking, and making the appearance of the motorcycle more stylish.

Large fuel tank capacity, easy refueling

The 5.1-liter fuel tank has a fuel consumption of 1.69L/100km.
The fuel cap is located under the front seat, allowing for quick refueling.

PG-1 is launched in 6 trendy and personality-full colors, ready to accompany any style of the Gen Z generation.
