A car that was “only for Ministers” broke down and caused a road blockage

At around 7:30 PM yesterday, May 28th, a vintage car bearing the Volga brand was driving on Truong Chinh street, Hanoi when it suddenly broke down. As a result, the 4-seat car from the old days came to a halt and caused a long traffic jam on Truong Chinh street. According to some eyewitnesses at the scene, after the incident occurred, the driver left the Volga car at the scene. As of this morning, the car is still lying on Truong Chinh street.

For young people in Vietnam, the Volga car brand may be quite unfamiliar. Volga used to be a car model from the Soviet Union, only popular in Vietnam in the 80s. During the socialist era, Volga cars were only used to transport officials with a rank of Minister or higher.

A collision between a truck carrying bricks and a container truck occurred yesterday afternoon on the bypass road from Cam Pha to Hoanh Bo, Quang Ninh. In the accident, the truck carrying bricks crashed straight into the oncoming container truck. As a result, the driver of the container truck died on the spot while the driver of the brick truck suffered serious injuries. At the accident scene, both vehicles were completely totaled, with bricks scattered all over the road.

This morning, on Pham Van Dong street, Hanoi, a collision occurred between a truck and a car. According to eyewitnesses at the scene, initially, the two vehicles were driving parallel on Pham Van Dong street, with the truck in the outer lane. However, the truck suddenly changed lanes to the inner one and unexpectedly crashed into the rear of the car. The impact caused the car to spin across the road and the truck continued to collide with its side. The truck pushed the car for over ten meters before coming to a stop.

As a result, the car’s side was completely crushed. Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident.
