The 7 million dollar price tag on the Talbot-Lago T150-C SS Teardrop Cabriolet is impressive, but it pales in comparison to the staggering price of 14 million dollars for the Ferrari 250 LM.

Classic car exhibitions and auctions take place all over the world, from Monte Carlo, Maranello, and Monterey to Manhattan… Last week, for the first time in over a decade, a classic car auction was held in New York. And immediately, this auction was a success with several million-dollar cars being sold.

One of the highlights of the recent auction in New York was the 1964 Ferrari 250 LM, which sold for a staggering $14.3 million. Initially, the estimated price for this iconic supercar was around $12 to $15 million.

Also up for auction was a 1938 Talbot-Lago T150-C SS Teardrop Cabriolet, which fetched a price of $7.15 million. It’s worth mentioning that very few of these Talbot-Lago T150-C SS Teardrop Cabriolets are still intact, with only 20 coupes ever being produced.

The recent RM auction in New York raised a total of $62,797,500, with 93% of the lots being sold.

In addition to the Ferrari 250 LM and the Talbot-Lago T150-C SS Teardrop Cabriolet, other cars also commanded high prices. These include the 1959 Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta, which sold for $7.04 million, and the 1954 Maserati A6G/2000 Spyder Zagato, which sold for $4.455 million. According to Autoblog, out of the 31 cars that were auctioned, 16 were sold for over $1 million.
