Since August 2023, Kia, the South Korean automaker, has revealed an upgraded version of the regular Sportage. And now, the new hybrid version has been announced.
According to that, the 2024 Sportage Hybrid will come in three versions: Sportage Hybrid LX, Sportage Hybrid EX, and Sportage Hybrid SX Prestige, with prices ranging from $28,290 (about 686.5 million VND) to $37,190 (about 902.5 million VND).
In the standard LX version, the Kia Sportage Hybrid 2024 will be equipped with soundproof windshield, one-way rearview mirror, and 17-inch alloy wheels.
Meanwhile, the two higher versions will be added with LED fog lights, power-adjustable trunk, sunroof, and 18-inch alloy wheels.
In terms of interior, the Sportage Hybrid 2024 will be equipped with many modern utilities such as 8-inch touch screen, 12.2-inch digital instrument cluster, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, and 6 entertainment speakers in the standard version.
For the EX and SX Prestige versions, the car will have a curved integrated screen with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch infotainment system, heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated/ventilated front seats, Harman Kardon audio system, and wireless smart phone charger.
The Safety aspect of the 2024 Kia Sportage Hybrid includes support for LED headlights, front collision avoidance assist, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, and parking assist.
The premium version of the car will have additional features such as highway driving assist, adaptive cruise control, blind spot warning, rear cross traffic alert, rear occupant alert, remote smart parking assist, blind-spot view monitor, and surround-view monitor.
The Kia Sportage Hybrid 2024 is powered by a 4-cylinder 1.6L turbocharged engine combined with 2 electric motors and a 1.49 kWh battery pack. The car has a total power output of 227 horsepower and 349 Nm torque. According to the manufacturer, the average fuel consumption is 5.47 liters/100 km.
Currently, the Kia Sportage in Vietnam does not have a hybrid version. However, in the future, it is entirely possible for the Sportage to be equipped with a hybrid engine. If sold in Vietnam, the Kia Sportage Hybrid would be a competitor to the Honda CR-V HEV.
