Toyota officially introduced the upgraded Yaris to the European market back in late May 2014. Now, the Toyota Yaris 2015 has arrived in the US market. According to Toyota, the 2015 Yaris is a “European-inspired” model in the US.

The Toyota Yaris 2015 in the US also features similar updates to the European version. The front end of the car is bold and visually appealing. The front of the Toyota Yaris 2015 is designed in an “X” shape, reminiscent of the Aygo in the European market.

The “X” shape separates the front of the Toyota Yaris 2015 into two distinct sections with the manufacturer’s logo in the middle. It also includes projector headlights and modern LED daytime running lights similar to those found on premium cars. The redesigned bumper and unique taillights complete the rear of the car.

Unfortunately, Toyota has not provided many details about the interior of the upgraded Yaris. It is known that the Toyota Yaris 2015 comes with a new instrument panel designed in a sporty style with softer materials.

Other changes include improved suspension, a more rigid body structure, and additional sound insulation materials. The Toyota Yaris 2015 in the US is powered by a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine, producing a maximum power of 106 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 103 lb-ft at 4,200 rpm. The power is transmitted to the wheels through a standard 5-speed manual transmission or an optional 4-speed automatic transmission.

In the US market, the Toyota Yaris 2015 is available in 3 different trim levels: the standard L, the premium LE, and the sporty SE. All trims are equipped with an optional navigation system.

The starting price of the Toyota Yaris 2015 in the US is $14,485, excluding the $825 destination and delivery charge. This is the price of the manual transmission version of the Toyota Yaris L 2015. Meanwhile, the automatic transmission version of the Toyota Yaris SE 5-door has a price tag of $17,620.
