After the controversy surrounding “Mr. Provocative” Jeremy Clarkson, the car show Top Gear has officially come to an end. The two co-presenters of Jeremy Clarkson have also unexpectedly put their motorcycle collections up for auction on April 26th.

Regarding the decision of the famous Top Gear presenters to auction their motorcycle collections, it is unclear whether they are selling the collection because they need money or simply to “clear out” to make room for new models. However, because these two are motorcycle enthusiasts, the likelihood leans towards the latter hypothesis. Many collectors also do the same in order to refresh their collections.

It seemed that James May and Richard Hammond would be selling their expensive motorcycles, but that’s not the case. It seems that the “kings” of Top Gear are only selling ordinary and reasonably-priced motorcycles, while keeping the rare and expensive ones.

The most expensive motorcycle that Richard Hammond is putting up for auction is the 2010 Norton Commando 961SE, expected to be sold for £14,500 – £18,500 ( $21600 – $27500). Other notable motorcycles include the 1970 Triton café racer 500cc and the 1977 Honda GL1000 Gold Wing.

Meanwhile, James May will bid farewell to his Yamaha FS-1E, Grievious Angel, Yamaha SR400 modified by Deux Ex Machina, and the 1973 Honda CD175.

In addition, many other notable motorcycles from these two presenters are waiting to be auctioned at the Spring Stafford Sale.
