Introduced for the first time in August 2023, the new 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe has officially arrived in Southeast Asia. The car was showcased at an event in the Philippines.

Compared to the domestic market, the appearance of the Hyundai Santa Fe at the exhibition is no different. The car still has a square and sturdy design, reminiscent of the Land Rover Defender.

Hyundai Santa Fe 2024 has dimensions of 4,830 x 1,900 x 1,720 mm (depending on the configuration) and a wheelbase of 2,815 mm. Compared to the previous version, the frame is larger by 45 mm and higher by 20 mm, while the distance between the two axles is increased by more than 50 mm. This helps increase the cargo space of the car from 634 liters to 725 liters (when the third-row seats are folded).

The front of the car impresses with its unique “H” shaped headlights, accompanied by the Hyundai logo on the hood. In addition, the car has running lights parallel to the hood edge.

Looking at the side of the car, the Hyundai Santa Fe 2024 has wider fender flares, a square design, giving it a more powerful and sporty look. The car is surrounded by flat surfaces and a gradually sloping roof that comes with a sleek black roof rack. The window line of the car no longer rises at the C-pillar but extends straight to the rear of the car. Each version of the Hyundai Santa Fe 2024 will have a different type of alloy wheels.

At the rear, the Hyundai Santa Fe 2024 has taillights designed with the “H” graphic. This light strip is lowered and placed near the trunk area. The car has hidden windshield wipers.

In terms of the interior, the car showcased at the event is a 7-seater version. Inside the cabin of the Hyundai Santa Fe 2024 is still designed with a modern and luxurious touch, with a minimalist yet sophisticated feel.

The car is equipped with a panoramic curved display, including a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment system. Some other highlights inside the driver’s compartment of the Hyundai Santa Fe 2024 in the Philippines market include: 2 wireless phone chargers, multi-zone automatic air conditioning with ceiling vents for the rear seats, dual sunroof, power-adjustable front seats, and Relaxation Seat for the driver. The second-row seats come with sunshades and a one-touch sliding mechanism for easy access to the third-row seats.

In the Philippines market, Hyundai Santa Fe 2024 will be available with 2 engine options. The first is the Theta III gasoline engine with a 4-cylinder, turbocharged, 2.5L displacement, producing a maximum power of 281 horsepower and a maximum torque of 422 Nm. The engine comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission and HTRAC all-wheel drive system. As a result, the car can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 8 seconds and reach a top speed of 210 km/h.

The second option is the Gamma III 1.6T GDI HEV hybrid powertrain with a 4-cylinder gasoline engine, turbocharged, 1.6L displacement, accompanied by an electric motor and a 6-speed automatic transmission. This hybrid powertrain provides a total output of 230 horsepower and a maximum torque of 350 Nm. The engine’s power allows the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 9.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 190 km/h.

Currently, the manufacturer has not yet revealed the price of the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe in the Philippines market as the car will not be officially on sale until next year.

After the Philippines, the new generation Hyundai Santa Fe will continue to be launched in other markets in Southeast Asia, including Vietnam.
