Hyundai sets release date for A Venue SUV in Vietnam: Ready to take on Kia Sonet and Toyota Raize

It is highly likely that the model in question is the Hyundai Venue. The car is already being sold in several countries including Korea, the United States, India, Thailand, Singapore, and Indonesia.

According to information from sales consultants, Hyundai Venue will be available in Vietnam with 2 versions, featuring the same interior color, and 6 exterior color options: white, black, red, silver, metallic gray, and blue.

The car has dimensions of 1,770 mm x 4,040 mm x 1,590 mm (length x width x height) and a wheelbase of 2,520 mm. With these dimensions, the car is positioned in the small urban SUV segment, competing with the likes of Kia Sonet and Toyota Raize. With the addition of Venue, Hyundai’s range of high-riding vehicles in Vietnam will become more diverse, spanning across segments from A to E.

When launched in Vietnam, Venue will come with some notable features such as LED headlights, 16-inch alloy wheels, a digital instrument cluster, an 8-inch infotainment screen, tire pressure sensors, and a 6-airbag system.

It is still unclear what engine Hyundai Venue will be equipped with in Vietnam. In other markets, the car will be available with engine options such as a 1.2L gasoline engine, a 1.6L gasoline engine, a 1.0L turbocharged engine, and a 1.5L diesel engine. The engines will be paired with a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual, or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

In terms of safety equipment, the car is expected to come with 6 airbags, tire pressure monitoring, rear parking sensors, cruise control, electronic stability control, hill-start assist, a reverse camera, and automatic high beam headlights.

It is highly likely that Venue will be locally assembled in Vietnam, following the trend of most Hyundai models.

Currently, detailed information about the car as well as its price has not been disclosed by the company. In the Philippines market, Hyundai Venue is priced between 439 and 472 million VND. Meanwhile, in the US market, the price ranges from 429 to 538 million VND.
