Founded in 1913, Aston Martin is the UK’s long-standing luxury sports car brand. Over the years, Aston Martin has developed a range of beautiful and iconic cars. These cars are well-known for their association with the “007” agent.

Interestingly, few people know that the first supercar to arrive in Vietnam was not the Lamborghini Gallardo owned by “Dollar” Cuong in 2007. Instead, a secret Aston Martin Vanquish supercar was brought to Vietnam almost 2 years earlier by a businessman in Hanoi.

Currently, there are over 30 Aston Martin luxury sports cars in Vietnam. These include models such as the Aston Martin DB9 Coupe, Aston Martin DB9 Volante, Aston Martin Vanquish (2nd generation), Aston Martin Vanquish Volante, Aston Martin DB11, Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster, Aston Martin Rapide S, and Aston Martin Rapide.

Aston Martin 2023 Price List

After 14 years since the first Aston Martin arrived in Vietnam, the British supercar brand finally has an official dealership in the country. The Aston Martin Vietnam showroom only offers two main models, the Aston Martin DB11 and the 2nd generation Aston Martin Vantage.

The official retail price for the Aston Martin V8 Vantage in Vietnam starts at 14,988 billion VND, while the Aston Martin DB11 V8 has a price of 15,868 billion VND. These prices are significantly higher compared to other Southeast Asian markets such as Thailand and Malaysia. However, this does not deter wealthy Vietnamese buyers from owning these luxury cars.

According to Decision No. 618/QD-BTC by the Ministry of Finance on the issuance of the vehicle registration fee table, other Aston Martin models such as the Aston Martin DB9, Rapide, DBS, and Vanquish have registration fees ranging from 9.8 to 24.9 billion VND.

Compared to the Aston Martin prices worldwide, Vietnamese buyers are paying two to three and a half times higher due to higher taxes. For example, an Aston Martin V8 Vantage in Thailand is priced at 10.6 billion VND, but in Vietnam, it is sold for 14,988 billion VND. In the US market, the Aston Martin V8 Vantage is priced at only 3.5 billion VND.

This model was the first to be built at Aston Martin’s Gaydon facility. The Aston Martin DB9 is powered by a 6.0-liter V12 engine producing 450 horsepower. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds and achieve a top speed of 300 km/h.

Aston Martin Rapide

In Vietnam, the Aston Martin Rapide is priced at around 17.6 billion VND, while the Aston Martin Rapide S is priced at 17.1 billion VND.

The Aston Martin Rapide is a beautiful 4-door coupe and is often referred to as the “queen” of 4-door coupe cars. Vietnam has over 8 Aston Martin Rapide cars, consisting of both the Aston Martin Rapide and the upgraded version, the Aston Martin Rapide S, which were produced from 2015 to 2018.

The Rapide S features an upgraded chassis and suspension system, with the engine lowered by 19mm and a lower center of gravity compared to the previous generation, resulting in improved handling. The Adaptive Damping System (ADS) with three modes (Normal, Sport, and Track) enhances the car’s impressive performance.

Aston Martin Vanquish

The first generation Aston Martin Vanquish had only one unit imported to Vietnam, but the second generation has three units available in both the coupe and convertible versions. The price for the second-generation Aston Martin Vanquish starts at 23.9 billion VND.

The interior of the second-generation Aston Martin Vanquish features a 2+2 coupe design with rear seats suitable for children or additional storage. The center console of the car is beautifully designed with neatly arranged buttons for easy operation.

The Aston Martin Vanquish second-generation is equipped with a V12 engine with a displacement of 6.0 liters and a maximum output of 658 horsepower and 630 Nm of torque. Aston Martin DB11

The British luxury sports car manufacturer wasted no time introducing the Aston Martin DB11 after discontinuing the Aston Martin DB9. The Aston Martin DB9 was succeeded by the Aston Martin DB11. The Aston Martin DB11 has received 1,400 orders from wealthy individuals worldwide since its launch. The official production began on September 28th, 2016. To ensure the quality, Andy Palmer, the CEO of Aston Martin, personally inspected the first 1,000 units.

The price of the Aston Martin DB11 V8 in Vietnam starts at 15.686 billion VND. There are currently 6 Aston Martin DB11 V8 models available in Vietnam, and no two cars have the same color. The estimated amount that Saigon’s wealthy will have to spend to drive an Aston Martin DB11 V8 on the streets of Saigon could reach 17.3 billion VND.

Initially, the Aston Martin DB11 luxury sports car was fitted with a 5.3-liter V12 engine. However, one year later, Aston Martin decided to equip the DB11 with a 4.0-liter V8 engine with twin-turbo technology produced by Mercedes-AMG. This change resulted in a better response from customers in Asia, especially wealthy Vietnamese buyers, as the Mercedes-AMG engine used in the Aston Martin DB11 offers better tax incentives compared to the original 5.3-liter V12 engine.

The Aston Martin DB11 V8 model is equipped with a V8 twin-turbo engine with a displacement of 4.0 liters, produced by Mercedes-AMG. It delivers a maximum power of 510 horsepower and 675 Nm of torque. The engine is combined with a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission, transferring power to the rear wheels. This allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4 seconds and reach a top speed of 301 km/h. The simplest way to distinguish between the Aston Martin DB11 V8 and the Aston Martin DB11 V12 is the number of air vents on the car’s hood, with the V8 model having 2 vents and the V12 model having 4 vents.

Conclusion

In the luxury sports car segment, cars often compete not only in terms of price and features but also in terms of personal preference and passion. Aston Martin is no exception, as buyers of Aston Martin cars are often driven by their love for the brand and the passion for driving.
