Thanks to attractive promotions from automakers and dealerships, the car consumption in the Vietnamese market in November showed clear signs of improvement. This is reflected in the list of the best-selling car models, with most of the mentioned products witnessing sales growth.
Top 10 best-selling cars in Vietnam in November 2023 (based on data from the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA) and TC Motor).
Continuing to hold the top spot is the Mazda CX-5 despite experiencing a 21% drop in sales compared to October. In mid-November, THACO adjusted the proposed retail price of this model, increasing it by 5 million VND (approximately $217) for all 2.0L versions except the standard Deluxe variant. However, the listed price of this model still ranges from 749 to 999 million VND (approximately $32,545 to $43,364).
Hyundai Accent ranks 2nd with a slight increase of 14% in sales in November. With this result, the Korean brand’s car model has almost secured its position as the best-selling B-segment sedan in the year.
Ranking 3rd is the Toyota Vios with a slight increase of 6% in sales. Despite various promotions from manufacturers and dealerships, the “sales king” still hasn’t been able to regain its previous momentum.
In contrast, Toyota occupies 3 positions in the top 10 best-selling cars in Vietnam in November 2023. In addition to the Vios, the other two Toyota models, Veloz Cross and Yaris Cross, also made it into the list. Among them, Veloz Cross made a comeback after several months of being absent but still couldn’t surpass the Mitsubishi Xpander. Toyota Yaris Cross, on the other hand, made its first appearance thanks to substantial discounts at dealerships.
Ranking 4th is the Mitsubishi Xpander with a nearly 15% increase in sales compared to the previous month. Similar to the CX-5, the Xpander has firmly held the position of the best-selling MPV of the year. Moreover, the Mitsubishi Xpander may become the best-selling car model in the entire market in 2023.
Ford Ranger continues to dominate the pickup truck segment with a 14.4% increase in sales, securing the 5th place in the overall market in November. The 6th spot belongs to the Hyundai Creta, which remains the best-selling B-SUV despite a decrease of 17 units compared to the previous month.
It is the 7th position that belongs to the Kia Sonet, with a slight sales increase of 4.5%, making it the best-selling A-SUV. Following closely is the Hyundai Tucson with a nearly 6% decrease in sales, unable to compete with the Mazda CX-5.
Two car models dropped out of the top 10 best-selling cars in Vietnam in November 2023, including the Kia Seltos and Hyundai Santa Fe. In the past month, Korean cars accounted for only 4 positions on the list, while Japanese cars took the lead with 5 featured products. As for American cars, there was only 1 representative.
