Recently, social media has shared the first images of the luxurious electric car model Rolls-Royce Spectre in Hanoi. The uploaded images show the car undergoing maintenance before its official launch in Vietnam next month.
It is likely that this is a temporary imported car model for display and introduction to customers. From the exterior to the paint color, everything is identical to the car previously displayed in some countries such as Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore.
Rolls-Royce Spectre is the first electric car in the 120-year history of the British luxury car brand. Spectre has also been officially announced in Vietnam, with a price range starting from 17,990,500,000 VND.
The design of Rolls-Royce Spectre is heavily inspired by the Wraith and Phantom models, but it is wider and lower, offering a superior sporty feel.
The front of the car impresses with a waterfall-style grille with characteristic vertical slats of the Rolls-Royce brand. In the dark, the grille is gently illuminated by 22 LED lights sandblasted on the heat sinks at the rear. The gentle light from them reflects through the polished surfaces at the front, creating an elegant three-dimensional effect at night.
On top of the grille is the iconic “flying lady” emblem that is essential for Rolls-Royce cars. In Spectre, the legendary Spirit of Ecstasy “icon” has also been adjusted to create a more sporty look for the Rolls-Royce.
The car features a two-tiered lighting system. The upper part consists of ultra-thin LED position lights, while the headlights are set deep in the recess below. In addition, the Rolls-Royce Spectre also has a large center air intake with horizontal slats on the front bumper.
The car is equipped with 23-inch alloy wheels – the largest in all Rolls-Royce models in the past 100 years. These wheels have an aerodynamic design that gives Spectre a drag coefficient of only 0.25 Cd, the lowest among Rolls-Royce models to date.
From a side view, the sleek and sharp lines at the front of Spectre attract the eye to the side of the solid body. The “waft line” below the body is directly borrowed from yacht design. The car is equipped with a smooth sloping roof towards the rear, familiar reverse-opening doors, and the “R” logo on the front mudguard.
The rear of the car impresses with new vertical LED taillights. Alternating between the taillights are silver details for decoration.
Inside the cabin, Spectre is equipped with many modern conveniences such as: a three-spoke steering wheel with integrated function buttons, a digital dashboard integrated with the center touchscreen, leather seats… The luxury car also adds a digital display for passengers, maintaining the inherent luxury of Rolls-Royce without making it feel like an electric car.
A notable highlight inside the cabin is the starry sky LED lighting system on the ceiling, which is designed both on the dashboard and door trims.
Providing power for Rolls-Royce Spectre is an electric motor with a maximum power of 430 kW (about 576 horsepower) and a maximum torque of 900 Nm. Thanks to that, the car can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds. According to the CLTC test cycle in China, the car can travel 585 km after a full charge. Meanwhile, according to the EPA test cycle in the US, the range of Spectre is 515 km.
In addition, Rolls-Royce Spectre is supported by fast charging technology that charges the battery from 10-80% in 34 minutes when using a 195 kW DC charger. In urgent situations, users can recharge enough energy for the car to travel 100 km in just 9 minutes.
